Ian and helga go south !!

@ianthebuilder
You have given many many Funsters a truely wonderful insight into your life , I for one thankyou from the bottom of my heart as your adventures escapades and humourous stories have kept me going through a very hard winter!!
Thankyou again and to all the Funsters who contributed by adding fun and knowledge to help make 205 pages of a memorable read!!
Can't wait for the next instalment... As @Popeye says IanRidesAgain!!;)

Thanks Ian.

I have read every post, laughed til I cried, bored non motorhoming friends and family with your exploits, and been inspired. I started my solo journey about the same time as you, and your attitude has helped me to stay strong, and just get on with it, trusting in fate or lady luck, and Millie my new baby van!

I know you are ambivalent about coming home but maybe you will see things differently from your new philosophy. And if not, well it wont be long til you can head South again. Working to pay for experiences is so much more rewarding than working for materialistic stuff we don't want or need.

Updated the avatar. Millie by the sea in Cornwall, last weekend.

If we ever meet anthea, I will expect you to do that dance for me. ! X

If you're down south Ian and need a place to moor up for a while, call on me won't you, and if you want a few days work I've always got something to do, top up the coffers for the next installment.

Thanks for the laughs, some of what you've told us would have gone top the grave with me if it had happened to me, so full marks old mate, see you in a field somewhere soon.

Griff

I have enjoyed the thread too Ian.

Especially the " flamenco dancers" ;):D

Good luck

What a lovely post Ian, thank you for keeping me entertained since December, it's going to be a bit boring now without the anticipation of reading about your escapades.

I'm looking forward to the next instalments at the end of the summer, bit like waiting for the next series of Game of Thrones!

All the best for your UK stay.

I haven't seen a single episode of Game of Thrones.

Isabel tells me there are a lot of scenes of a sexual nature so it should be right up my street.

She has watched the lot

Not until you are on the ferry!! Are you on the ferry?!!:D

Hi Ian

Everything everybody else has said and a bit more as well.

I think we all got the idea that your travels were a bit lonely at times and that you would have been happy sharing the experience BUT I think you have got more out of this trip than any of us do with our partners, well you have certainly got closer to the real Spain and its people than we have in our travels.

Martin and Jen

Jen doesn't read the forum but that doesn't mean she hasn't wet herself laughing at some of the stuff I have read out to her.

Great last (?) post Ian, loved reading your adventures through the winter. Best wishes for whatever you choose to do next.
Safe travels
Chris

Now sometimes I have been bored to death, walking along yet another deserted beachfront, stopping only to have yet more coffee,, or so I thought I was,, but the solitude of those moments did me the world of good !! I think I have discovered who and what I am, and to be honest,, I quite like me!!

This paragraph made me well up a bit. Thanks for sharing, it's been one hell of a trip you've been on Ian. More power to you I say.

Much admiration,

Rob

Its been a great read Ian and don't worry about the little knocks you gave helga she has more than got her own back smacking you on the head with a bed and rotating her steps lol
Good luck with the job hunting shouldn't be too hard think BHS will be looking for someone to brick up the doors and windows on their shops.

:):)I only really discovered this thread about 3 days ago, and it has taken me until now to catch up.
I have been crying with laughter about your escapades.
A thoroughly enjoyable read and I am so envious of your great adventure and your courage to grasp life by, "the balls":)

Look forward to reading about your next adventure.
A thoroughly decent, genuine bloke you are Ian and we look forward to meeting you on a campsite soon. Take care, hope you find plenty of work to enable you to take your next adventure soon.
There will be loads of Funsters offering you building jobs up and down the UK and you can add another Chapter to your story.
A great read, take care. Good luck
