Ian and helga go south !!

Picture the scene......

A cut-away from Peters & Lee shows our Ian looking rueful and leaning on the ferry's rail. Staring at the ship's wake being carved out in the Channel, his mind drifts back to Flamenco dancers, fruit sellers and ripped-off awning parts! Then, a camera shot shows the funnels with the French Tricolor being morphed into the union flag.

Walking onto the car deck, Ian taps gently on Helga's bonnet.
"Well, me ol' girl, we're almost home. Sorry about the scrapes darlin', it's poor reward for keeping me safe, I know, but I'll make it up to ya; promise"

Cars, vans, lorries, begin to roll down the ramp as Ian fires up his mount. Looking up at the White Cliffs, he notices a sea of a different colour - Yellow! The cliff tops are lined with people waving smilie banners. I-an, I-an, I-an, is the cry!

Well, maybe not quite as imaginative as the above Ian, but I'm sure we'd all like to be there to wave and to say thanks for all those posts.

yes pr= park and ride you can overnight there and get the bus into town free i belive

Yes P&R is park and ride and the bus is available into the city centre free of charge - just use the ticket you get from the machine when you go in.

It's New Dover Road P&R, CT1 3EL. The co-ordinates for it are: N51.26199; E1.10258.

Well. What a result!! £3,00 per night,, chemical waste and grey, water,, just no electric!!! No drama,, and the bloke in the kiosk says don't worry if you stay longer than 3 nights,, it just goes on the ticket!! Bonus!! Now I know about it I will return !!! Xx. Cheers joe!!!! Xx.

Think you have to arrive at park and ride before 7pm, we just missed getting in on the way down and parked behind sainsburys instead. The P&R looks great though! Good luck Ian, hope you find work soon and a good coffee shop

Tomorrow I'm going into Canterbury for a good look round,, and into the 3 shop for Internet thingy!!! So all I hope will be good!!!!
