Greece 2022

OK! I'm going to explain this as it was explained to me and would welcome correction or confirmation.
I went to empty my cassette 15 minutes ago and Maria the very nice and helpful warden asked me if I could wait until 2 pm (a 40 minute wait) and I said off course, rules are rules. When I asked why this was she said its in force across the whole of Italy. You can use your toilet between 12 & 2 but you can't flush it until 2 ot after. Does not make aense to me in any way shape or form.

There is a state of emergency due to the drought loads of restrictions mainly in the north.

Then everyone flushes the loo at 2pm, how does that help ?
It would make more sense to introduce a rule to say flush only for number 2's, let number 1's accumulate.

€4 for an ice cream!

People are losing there sense of value.
Have you seen the size of it? You pay a fiver in France for a little cone with two scoops, and small ones at that ……

I wouldn't.
Fair play, as it happens I like quality ice cream, and I don’t mind paying a premium for it, I don’t drink or smoke so I will be the one amazed by what people spend on that🤷🏻‍♂️😎

No problem. We are very precious about our Defenders, must be the fact they are half the comfort and twice the price.
And equally shit.

Best 4 x 4 my arse ...thats definitely the Toyota hilux .

The oracle speaks again.

You have your opinion and I have mine. You keep your jap crap, and I will keep mine that continues to run at 16 years old, only had a battery fitted to it whilst it goes in value to more than it ever cost. even as new.

If you want a good 4x4 it will always be Japanese thats why the hilux and the landcruiser are found all over Africa and Australia and in the northern states like alaska etc too .

Land rovers really have seen their day . They are usually rotten and being rescued. They are only loved by enthusiasts

A bit like old fords 🤷‍♂️

And don’t even start about their new products , they amount of issues is insane, more in the garage then on the road, it is just a status symbol , no other brand could get away with that kind of build quality.
But hey ho, if it makes someone happy🤷🏻‍♂️

Theres a few brands like that because unfortunately people still believe in a name. Transits still sell despite being crap vans for work , the sprinters rust like hell. Land rover and range rover bought by enthusiasts but they are way down the line for reliability and endurance. Toyota's are practically indestructible as shown by top gear and are cheap to pick up.

We leave here tomorrow, its been a great 6 nights and the Sosta was full this weekend. Its starting to clear a bit now yet its still very hot in the high 20s but with a nice breeze coming off thre Adriatic so we might get a decent sleep tonight. San Marino tomorrow and looking forward to it.
