Hi, I am awaiting a new Adria PVC which should have been here last October but keeps on getting put back on a monthly basis. Now end of June and I don’t believe it will come then if I’m honest. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it finally arrived in 2023!

Trying to get any information of the true delay situation from the manufacturers, let alone information that you can trust to be correct and up to date, I am finding impossible. Nothing on the news for Europe but some in America Re shifts being closed at factories there from 2 to 1 a day, but that is about Stellantis car plants I believe.

The delays all appear to revolve around Stellantis production in Italy at their Sevel plant but still none the wiser as to specifically why. Saying the Pandemic repeatedly does not do it for me now.

I would just like to get some honest understanding of why the monthly delays continue and I think all Fiat based manufacturers are pretty much the same.

I wanted to start this Thread for comments from anyone who has got confirmed news or information, rather than rumours and speculation, although if my experiences are the same as others no one will be able to confidently add an update, but here goes 👍🏻

Regards in advance if anyone can add anything

We ordered in May 2021, but sold our van the previous November to make moving house easier... wish we'd had a crystal ball at that time.
Us too- ordered July 21, due anyday apparently but dealer now wants another £5k!!

We've had an email from our dealer this morning to say that our Adria has now been finished and is off the production line in Slovenia. It should then take 2 weeks to reach him, we've already checked and he registers the van electronically with the DVLA so there will be no hold up from that.
Starting to get excited!
Very jealous! Our date is still October 23. (For now).

Ours is an automatic though, hopefully that’s not going to cause an issue.

Yes. Our dealer has a long list of registrations already reserved and we were able to choose the one we wanted. However although the van is here the certificate of conformity is still making its way through snail mail but we were assured that this normally takes less than 2 weeks to arrive so pick up date booked for a week tomorrow 😀

April 21. Price is fixed with the same dealer as Mark and Mindy.
Wow that’s a long time - sorry to hear about that: yes, mine was fixed too, as was expecting it March 22 and agreed if there was a minor increase in the Oct of 21. Now holding me to any increase over two years!

And as if on cue, we have received an email from the dealer saying that some orders are now slipping to February 2024. Ours is not noted as affected at this point, but I’m assuming the worst seeing as it’s been bad news since day one throughout this whole process. 😫

Yes, if I’d known any of this we’d never have bothered- likewise if we’d been told in July21 that it’s going to take over two years then we will just stick another £5k on the price for your trouble then we would have thought we were at a circus !

I have received information from a known to me and reliable source within the industry which may help to explain the ongoing Adria delays.

Adria have told them that they are still having difficulty getting Fiat chassis and they will not run a production line until they have at least 30 chassis.

This will no doubt be down to cost and will impact on the delivery delays.

They are also starting to use Mercedes chassis as well apparentl.

Cheers Roy, always great to get a new window into this nightmare! Give me chance to prepare for bad new.

Our October date still holds for now, though.

I’ve heard this with Burstners too along with auto gearboxes
We had a chassis number in February but still can’t get confirmation if the chassis has actually turned up yet.
Burstner also build in batches not date of order so depending what model you have ordered you could wait longer than other people or even be sooner

Oh blimey I though having a chassis number indicated more certainty than that.Dealer suggested a build period on our Rapido of 4 weeks from that date (which was end June) but wast expecting to see it until September due to summer shutdowns.

I suppose you mat get a chassis number when the convertor received the chassis but if they are short on numbers to start a production line then it could be much longer for delivery ☹️

We got our chassis number on 13 June, our dealer said that at that point he'd expect delivery from Adria to take 4-6 weeks. On 10 July it came off the production line and the dealer has an ETA for delivery to him of 24 July. So those dates are pretty well spot on.

We had a chassis number for our Burstner Eliseo C602 PVC in December 2022. It went into production February but this turned out to be a phase 1 of the build due to parts shortages. It went back into production at the beginning of April for final finishing and appeared at the dealership 2 weeks later.

Is yours a manual or automatic?

Awesome picture! Glad to see them coming.
Mine took 15 months. Desperate times, but eventually it will show up.
Patience to all who wait there.

Got confirmation today that our new A class is with the dealers so pleasantly surprised it's was built within the 4 week period from chassis allocation as suggested. I was expecting to hear nothing during the shutdown period but looks like we should get it I'm our hands early Sept once we've added a few extras. That will be exactly 23 months from order!

Rapido.I think it was your post that got me concerned there was less certainty in having a chassis number than I was led to believe.Just hoping the specification is all as ordered

Excellent news. Any chance we could get some photos? I realise you are having a few things fitted and probably want to wait for the new registrataion but, apart from that and having a tracker fitted, could you drive it away almost immediately or do you still have to wait for any paperwork to come through?

We are expecting a call on Monday once they have given it the initial once over to discuss timings and workshop time for the awning and solar install but looking to get it on the road so we can use it over the Goodwood weekend. Will add pics on collection. This will be the longest month of the 23!
