Hi, I am awaiting a new Adria PVC which should have been here last October but keeps on getting put back on a monthly basis. Now end of June and I don’t believe it will come then if I’m honest. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it finally arrived in 2023!

Trying to get any information of the true delay situation from the manufacturers, let alone information that you can trust to be correct and up to date, I am finding impossible. Nothing on the news for Europe but some in America Re shifts being closed at factories there from 2 to 1 a day, but that is about Stellantis car plants I believe.

The delays all appear to revolve around Stellantis production in Italy at their Sevel plant but still none the wiser as to specifically why. Saying the Pandemic repeatedly does not do it for me now.

I would just like to get some honest understanding of why the monthly delays continue and I think all Fiat based manufacturers are pretty much the same.

I wanted to start this Thread for comments from anyone who has got confirmed news or information, rather than rumours and speculation, although if my experiences are the same as others no one will be able to confidently add an update, but here goes 👍🏻

Regards in advance if anyone can add anything

Yes , ours is from Highbridge & all done while we waited on day of collection.
Yes they have to pay for on-line access but with delays etc. they also said that it saves issues with people who change their minds !
me thinks the only ones doing it via post are those who don't want to pay for on-line access

As I have said before, I believe it also depends on the brand of converter and if they support the electronic system.

You guys that are awaiting your Adrias please do hang in there. At least you are all ‘price protected’ so the differential between your guaranteed price at order v price at delivery will cover a good few years depreciation - and that’s not even taking into account the buoyant S/H market pricing!

It’ll be worth it in the end as we have found out - latched onto a dealer pre-order in October 2021, (which we could alter the specification as needed), with an anticipated delivery in April 2022, which needless to say came and went. A few more provisional dates given until we finally laid hands on our Compact Supreme SC on 01/12/22 with a £95k van we paid £73k for. Now on Crete and life is good.

Chelston of Wellington, Somerset are our local dealer and were good throughout the process, and I can thoroughly recommend them.
Ordered our Twin in July 21 for March 22 delivery and sold our previous van . Still waiting for our new van , almost at the 2 year mark !
Hope all good with yours peeps

Pleased to say that we've heard that a chassis as now been allocated which I think now should give us some certainty. Told it's all as ordered in May 21 i.e 160bhp auto. Should be built in the next 4 weeks

I ordered a 160 in July 21 to be told soon after that they weren’t doing that engine any more so had to choose between the 140 or 180!

I understand they are still offering that engine for certain customers but told all along that our original spec order would be honoured. Isn't the difference between the 140 and 160 just the chip?

We had conformation a couple of weeks ago that we had a chassis N'o , 15 months after we paid the deposit
but still to get conformation that its actually been built, at which point we'll need to empty every piggy bank in the house

We have had confirmation of a chassis number and the van has now been delivered to Adria from Fiat. Our dealer says that it usually takes 4-6 weeks to be delivered to the dealer from Adria and that he should know at what point it is in production on the factory floor.

Different turbo and quite a few other bit not sure exactly with the 160 but the 180 is quite a different beast.

Given the choice of a 140 or 180 instead of a 160 it would have to be the 180.

We got given a chassis number in February
As of the end of May they still didn’t have the chassis and we are waiting now to find out if it actually has turned up now 😞

On Burstners you are offered 140 or 160 but no 180 available
Well on the model I just looked at

It was Monday 5/6, although again it depends how much post they get as to how quickly it moves along🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ …. I will let you know if we hear anything too🤞not much longer
I just checked the DVLA Tax database and my van now shows as registered. It probably went through this afternoon at some point as I checked this morning. Hopefully we can collect this weekend. Will be calling the dealer tomorrow!

It can take 5 days to get on the DVLA online database! Have you received your V5C?

No V5C as yet. But we have had no post for about 5 days. So I suspect that the Post office are gathering our mail for a single large delivery. Which seems to be their approach these days!

Well done guys! I am really surprised you have not had your V5Cs before they appeared on the database. We got our V5C a few days before anything online then the Conformity Certificates appeared in the post from the DVLA.

At least things are moving in the right direction!

Congratulations urban_biker and faz55.Enjoy your travels
Ive been without a van since Oct last year. Have definitely had major withdrawal symptoms.

If I hadn't been lucky enough in life to afford such a lovely van I'd definitely still be the guy insulating some beaten up old transit just to get back out there. It's the freedom that matters not the vehicle!

Really pleased you’ve had some movement! However, It’s incredibly frustrating that we’ve been pushed back even though we ordered from the same dealer before you! Seems to have little rhyme or reason to it all.

Hopefully, this means we may have some positive news soon. To say my patience is wearing thin is an understatement at this point.

We put a deposit on a Giottivan 60T at the NEC in October 2022 for delivery May 2023. Yesterday we had confirmation that it has arrived at the dealers and we have a collection date of 18th July. Peugeot Boxer base van. Very pleased with Wandahome South Cave so far.

The official Finnish 'Fiat company' (which has nothing to do with motorhomes, just selling Fiats) announced today that 2023 models are now open for orders but due to factory capacity limitations only as manual. So it seems the autobox is still somewhat an issue. Guess I'm gonna have to edit my signature once more in the following months.

We've had an email from our dealer this morning to say that our Adria has now been finished and is off the production line in Slovenia. It should then take 2 weeks to reach him, we've already checked and he registers the van electronically with the DVLA so there will be no hold up from that.
Starting to get excited!
