Hi, I am awaiting a new Adria PVC which should have been here last October but keeps on getting put back on a monthly basis. Now end of June and I don’t believe it will come then if I’m honest. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it finally arrived in 2023!

Trying to get any information of the true delay situation from the manufacturers, let alone information that you can trust to be correct and up to date, I am finding impossible. Nothing on the news for Europe but some in America Re shifts being closed at factories there from 2 to 1 a day, but that is about Stellantis car plants I believe.

The delays all appear to revolve around Stellantis production in Italy at their Sevel plant but still none the wiser as to specifically why. Saying the Pandemic repeatedly does not do it for me now.

I would just like to get some honest understanding of why the monthly delays continue and I think all Fiat based manufacturers are pretty much the same.

I wanted to start this Thread for comments from anyone who has got confirmed news or information, rather than rumours and speculation, although if my experiences are the same as others no one will be able to confidently add an update, but here goes 👍🏻

Regards in advance if anyone can add anything

You guys that are awaiting your Adrias please do hang in there. At least you are all ‘price protected’ so the differential between your guaranteed price at order v price at delivery will cover a good few years depreciation - and that’s not even taking into account the buoyant S/H market pricing!

It’ll be worth it in the end as we have found out - latched onto a dealer pre-order in October 2021, (which we could alter the specification as needed), with an anticipated delivery in April 2022, which needless to say came and went. A few more provisional dates given until we finally laid hands on our Compact Supreme SC on 01/12/22 with a £95k van we paid £73k for. Now on Crete and life is good.

Chelston of Wellington, Somerset are our local dealer and were good throughout the process, and I can thoroughly recommend them.

We are awaiting a Burstner which was ordered oct 21
It’s supposed to be in build now
What’s annoying is they do not build in date order but by the model so you could gain or lose out.
Also frustrating is the fact they didn’t prioritise customer orders so dealer orders could be sitting in a forecourt unsold while yours is waiting to be built

Yup.Mine was a dealer pre-order from summer 21 but I'm still seeing others being built (inc 2023 model years) to sit on a forecourt. There are 3 on the chassis mine needs I see most days that have been on a forecourt for 3 months.I now sit on the other side of the train

Most are not 23 models just advertised as such but are the 22 models that the dealers ordered
So frustrating though

So I have just been told our Burstner 736 has been delayed again and it’s because the chassis didn’t turn up
We were told it was allocated a chassis in February
We were told it was in build from 3rd of April but seems that was untrue
Got to wait until September now for next build slot 🤬

That is disgraceful to be told it was in build but wasn’t! I know you probably don’t want to fall out with the dealer but after you eventually get your van you should at least provide some ‘feedback’ to the appropriate person in charge of the dealership and cc Burstner and Fiat - they don’t deserve our business 😡 We’re similar - still waiting …..

FIAT couldn’t give a toss. They’re not interested in the MOHO market anymore. Just happy to build and sell std vans!!

Our dealer told us that motorhomes only account for something like 2% of the Fiat Ducato market, so no surprise they are not too interested.

Never good when a critical part of your supply chain is ambivalent to your business.

Just noticed this thread…. placed an order on an Adria Twin after the Feb MH show. Dealer had to do a bit of horse trading with another dealer to get me the specific van allocation I wanted. He says Adria are quoting Oct/Nov delivery but realistically that might be Jan/Feb or I might want to hang on until March for the new reg. However, having read all of this it seems a bit ‘pie in the sky’?

Things arent quite as bad as they used to be. However Adria do still appear to be struggling to predict delivery times but I wouldn't give up on your current order.

Thats interesting. We ordered an Adria Twin at the October 2022 show with a delivery date of June/July 2023 which we never really thought would happen. It slipped to 2nd week September 2023 now its October 2023. We'll have to wait and see.

I’m currently on a site in Italy with about 99% german occupancy. There are new(ish) Adria Twins all over the place! 😩

I'm vaguely hopeful of actually getting ours this year as the latest pushback was only 6 weeks - I can but hope but try not to think about it too much.

Maybe the issue is the supply of RHD base vehicles for the UK Motorhome market. Sadly this must be a minute percentage of Fiat/Peugeot sales, and one they are not too bothered about.

My LHD has been moved back from August to Feb next year.
I was hoping being LHD it would be on time.

Just had a confirmed delivery date of 10/7/23, ordered Sept 22 with a maybe date of this month (May), 10 wait months is not too bad, a bit longer than originally thought but we have a date to plan around now.

Pilote seem to be pretty reliable in their delivery dates right now. I'm not sure why others like Adria etc are not. Ours G740 expression is currently sat at Davan waiting for the DVLA to get finish typing stuff into a database! Hopefully we collect in a week or so.

Have they told you how long it takes to register with DVLA? We were told our motorhome arrived at the dealership 3 weeks ago after waiting 15 months! Delay is now down to the DVLA having a backlog of registrations for new vehicles so could still be another 3-4 weeks:( I suggest you make those plans very flexible!

We are in Germany 🇩🇪 so the registration is local and takes about 2 hours including having plates made 😀.
It's one thing that is uber efficient here..

It also happens here. Our dealer - Chelston of Wellington - had our number plate allocated a couple of weeks in advance so we could insure our Adria, but carried out the online registration with DVLA in a matter on minutes on the day of collection. Maybe some U.K. dealers aren’t able to complete it that way?

I find that strange. As posted earlier my dealer (Highbridge) registered my vehicle on their DVLA dealer link whilst sat in the office and gave me a printed temp cert of registration os I could drive the vehicle away. V5 came through maybe a couple of weeeks later. That was back in Dec22.

Some of the smaller dealers have to do it by post as they don't have access to the online system.
Ours took 4 weeks to come back from the DVLA but that was 18 months ago so timescales may have improved since then.
