Trying to work out how to solve a couple of jobs. -12C here this morning and will continue for several more days yet. Came back from a trip to Cologne in the early hours of yesterday. Went to sort out the MH. Brown waste toilet, frozen solid, One large ice cube, not the sort I would want in my Gin and Tonic. Grey wast water tank also frozen solid, can't open the drain tap. I did drain the water system down when we arrived so shouldn't have any problem there.

Well can't beat -12 but left french side of Spanish border this morning after a -4 night and at 08.30 coming onto the motorway at Urrugne suddenly realised there were no trucks until we got a few Kms on the Spanish side, wondered if there had been some problems a bit further back as very few cars as well.
Got on the Spanish side and thick fog and a bit of snow as well just to make it interesting!
Just got to Caceres and chilling with a Kronenbourg at +10 so far more comfortable now (y)

Got some thermal screen insulation from Lidl @£2.99 each, cutting them up to fit the windows. Not very thick but just right to place on window and pull the blind down to hold in place :)

you mean you both have hangovers

After making screen insulation yesterday and generally puttering around getting to know how things worked in the van we thought we would spend our first night in it in the back yard, are we daft  so grabbed a glass of wine, a teabag and a dvd. Left the heating on low all night, just a slight hum and spent a very comfortable night despite it being 0ºC and a frost outside .
