What are you up to this weekend?

We're grounded for a couple of weeks as we've sent the odometer to USA for an lcd repair. It'll give us the opportunity to give the bus a really thorough clean this weekend and do a few minor repairs ourselves.

We are going to Malham and Gordale Scar for Friday to Monday . It's our 21st wedding anniversary and holds a very big place in our hearts. We used to camp there when courting in a 1 man tent ! :blusher::inlove:

While all our friends were out raving , shaking glo-sticks at each other, popping pills and bursting their eardrums. We were " being boring !" walking the local area. Camping out in a 1 man tent and drinking cans of beer cooking on a couple of single gas stoves.
Then a few years later we got married had Jacob then the twins Isabel and Isaac. We still visited gordale and malham in tents. Though by that time had a large cabanon tent. Then we moved to caravans , but still went now and again in the tents. Infact we went for the twins 16 th their request in tents. Even though by this time we'd had a Motorhome for quite a few years !
It will be lovely visiting Gordale site in our Pug. He's narrow enough to get there. ( though we have seen bigger MH there before we'd never of taken our big one )
We never used the very basic facilities there :whatthe::worried: apart from the very first time , before we realised..........
We always took a portaloo :giggler: when we went with the tents, and a big floppy bucket to bathe in !
But the actual place ( Gordale scar ) is lovely. As it the walk over the t to Malham , lunch in the pub, walk to Janet's Foss back to Gordale.
I'm sure Malcolm the farmer will still have the same old jumper and farrah trousers on as he always wears:tmi: he's a bit of a hoarder...... He saves things like old flannels and tooth brushes . Keeping them in the washroom , just in case you've forgotten yours :sicker: You wouldn't wash your dog in the shower etc but it's such a great spot , for a base. Plus holds such dear memories. We have to visit again on our special day. :drinks::hugs:

Off to Croyde bay for our 3rd trip in the MH to see the grand kids and our son and daughter in law who are staying in a static - lots of fun if the rain can stay away a little

Love that bay surfing is great to for the young ones . Haven't been for nearly 40 years ,has it changed much ?!

A bit busier but not much the fact the NT own a lot of land there stops a lot of development - I guess you used to use a wooden surf board too

big adventure for us. attending a wedding at Aviemore, service on the shore at Loch Morlich, then onto steam train for afternoon tea and back to a lodge for a party. All in the van, staying in the Glenmore Campsite on the shores of the Loch. First time attempting to bolt on a kilt in the restricted space, can see fall out with wife looming!

I am off to see my in laws in Norfolk.

Always a pleasure, especially as we are seeing them over the bank holiday weekend as well:rolleyes:

Was supposed to be on the night sailing to St Malo on Saturday but have had to Cancel (hopefully just postpone) planned 3 week trip to France due to Mrs T health problems. :(

Will probably still go somewhere in UK within striking distance of home instead. :)

Tenby is about 50-60 miles I should think.

Good roads now though.(y)

Confirmed now.

Tomorrow night in Swansea for some stupid reason then on Saturday the rugby for whoever's left is in Tenby.

Part of the tour kit list is playing kit. I'm starting to get really scared now :D

Should be good Nick(y)

Tenby is lovely but can get a bit rough at weekends late on.

Everyone from Swansea comes down:D

Saturday I plan to work on the racecar, full geo setup, bit of basic mapping to get it running better (going to Emerald in Norfolk mid June for a proper RR mapping session (makes yer bum twitch sitting beside your car on a RR while its doing over 100MPH and hitting 7000RPM in fifth)), a few gaps between cabin and boot to be blanked off for scrutineering, wideband lambda sensor and electric oil pressure gauge to fit first though. Sunday I will probably go to the pub for a beer or three ;-)

D.

Going to Coimbra for Saturday night.

I am taking a break from land management and water storage system design and construction because...

The incredible Max Maven is doing a special, one off performance which will be taped to be included in the latest DVD Box Set to be produced by Luis De Matos Productions.

I have been allowed to attend... (y)

JJ
