We're grounded for a couple of weeks as we've sent the odometer to USA for an lcd repair. It'll give us the opportunity to give the bus a really thorough clean this weekend and do a few minor repairs ourselves.

Happy anniversary both of you, what ever day it falls on, have a great time in Malham. We are going to Malham and Gordale Scar for Friday to Monday . It's our 21st wedding anniversary and holds a very big place in our hearts. We used to camp there when courting in a 1 man tent !
While all our friends were out raving , shaking glo-sticks at each other, popping pills and bursting their eardrums. We were " being boring !" walking the local area. Camping out in a 1 man tent and drinking cans of beer cooking on a couple of single gas stoves.
Then a few years later we got married had Jacob then the twins Isabel and Isaac. We still visited gordale and malham in tents. Though by that time had a large cabanon tent. Then we moved to caravans , but still went now and again in the tents. Infact we went for the twins 16 th their request in tents. Even though by this time we'd had a Motorhome for quite a few years !
It will be lovely visiting Gordale site in our Pug. He's narrow enough to get there. ( though we have seen bigger MH there before we'd never of taken our big one )
We never used the very basic facilities thereapart from the very first time , before we realised..........
We always took a portaloowhen we went with the tents, and a big floppy bucket to bathe in !
But the actual place ( Gordale scar ) is lovely. As it the walk over the t to Malham , lunch in the pub, walk to Janet's Foss back to Gordale.
I'm sure Malcolm the farmer will still have the same old jumper and farrah trousers on as he always wearshe's a bit of a hoarder...... He saves things like old flannels and tooth brushes . Keeping them in the washroom , just in case you've forgotten yours
You wouldn't wash your dog in the shower etc but it's such a great spot , for a base. Plus holds such dear memories. We have to visit again on our special day.

Love that bay surfing is great to for the young ones . Haven't been for nearly 40 years ,has it changed much ?!Off to Croyde bay for our 3 trip in the MH to see the grand kids and our son and daughter in law who are staying in a static - lots of fun if the rain can stay away a little
Sounds like a wonderful wedding ! Enjoy and later tonight you won't care if your kilt is skewiff !!big adventure for us. attending a wedding at Aviemore, service on the shore at Loch Morlich, then onto steam train for afternoon tea and back to a lodge for a party. All in the van, staying in the Glenmore Campsite on the shores of the Loch. First time attempting to bolt on a kilt in the restricted space, can see fall out with wife looming!
