What are you up to this weekend?

May walk down tomorrow. Today I have been mainly assembling an IKEA wardrobe, desk and chair. I have to say they were extremely easy to put together you...well done IKEA :D
Don't bank on buying shoes. Today was a wash out! Glad your ikea purchases worked for you. (y)

I was going to fit my new reversing camera and pick up the stuff for the alterations to Harriet today but I hit the Big 65 yesterday and Caroline and the girls have set up a weekend long open house, with relly's popping in and a non stop barbie, so I've been told I have to be sociable the whole weekend, never managed that before.

So, it's gonna be a hard weekend for me. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Hymie.
Happy belated 65th! Hope the celebrations are going well but the weather hasn't been good for a Barrbie!!:birthday:

Yes, thanks - the van came with an external whale pump which runs off the whale system automatically when it's connected.
Tested and all OK :D

Meandering round Provence but on Saturday cycled up Mount Ventoux on a tandem with my good lady. One of the best 'legal highs' ever!

Just leave out the posh bit and they might know me.

Or their Dad's might know me:mad:

We beat them in the plate final (y) I don't think any of their dads were there though :D

In other news, my first rugby in quite a few years and I'm bloody sore. Also I don't think I'll be sober for about a fortnight (y)

Did you enjoy Tenby?

You know you're in for a crap night out when a Yates's is the best place you can find in a town :whistle:

Grassington CC site for the BH holiday weekend ! Hopefully the weather forecast picks up and we can get some serious e biking done !

Going and getting the new van Friday and off the the Wildcamping area at Rutland for the Bank Holiday period for the shakedown period. I have the car as well to go for anything left, and shopping from the local shops for the LEFT BEHINDS or forgotten items. I just hope the batteries hold out until I get the solar panels to fit on.

Spending next weekend in Northamptonshire at the Crick Boat Show, probably the countries biggest event to showcase narrowboats.
May be considerably poorer when we return to Cornwall.
Stef.

Well I booked a days work , Saturday, but we're still getting off.
Ralphs decided to work Saturday too now , and we're going Saturday teatime till Tuesday afternoon .
Fraisthorpe is the destination. There's a CCC rally on .
We've been to the spot lots of times in the past. So plenty walks down the beach to Brid and back (with the dog ) are planned. Fish n chips, the obligatory crabs claws will be purchased.
A few DVDs will be packed and watched if it rains.
Plenty nice food and of course booze.

My extended 'Learning Weekend' draws to a close today. On Monday morning I left the top of the Blorenge after three days of 'wild camping' with walks and mountain bike rides thrown in and headed for Hereford to meet up with an old friend who was down from the north to house sit for someone.

An Internet search had identified a very convenient campsite called Cuckoo's Corner;

http://www.cuckooscorner.com/

There is some helpful local information on their website.

It is close to my friends location and a few miles down the road from Dinmore Leisure, who happen to be Adria dealers, so I'm interested to visit;

The contrast of coming down from a mountain top wild camping spot to a well organised site with EHU, water supply on every pitch, toilets, showers and a WiFi connection for £16 is mega. I do still love the freedom of the mountain top though.

After three days on the mountain top, the gas bottle was empty but it was too windy and wet to encourage me to get out and work out how to change it, my water tank was empty and my grey tank was full as was the toilet tank, so it was time to move.

Getting on site with EHU meant that my learning continued. Changing the gas bottle was very easy on a calm morning with the sun shining. The grey tank I had dumped into a roadside drain as I drove the mountain, the toilet tank had to wait until I was onsite. Having the EHU meant I learnt how the habitation A/C unit workes for both heating and cooling. I tried the microwave, it works and the WiFi means I feel less like I was stranded on a desert island. :)

So all told it was a very enjoyable weekend with much learnt.

Time to stow everything away, visit Dinmore Leisure and then the short driveback to Cardiff.

Roll on my next learning session, the mysteries of the dishes on the roof!:)

Thurs morning for a week or more ,depending on weather to sunny Woolacombe

We're going to Hickstead to the MCC for their National. We joined last year but this will be the first time we've been away with them.

We are going to collect our new (second hand) motor home! It is our first, so we are virgins....well, sort of . We are living in France but there is more than enough fuel in her tanks to get us back to our place, so even the French strike won't put the mockers on our plans. Two years in the planning! Yee haa!
Just might have to delay our first trip.......

Sounds great Scrappie - good luck with it and let us know how you get on.

We are staying at home this weekend.

Will do, thanks. Even if we can't go anywhere because of the fuel issue, I have some sparkling stuff at the ready and will enjoy a glass or two in celebration whilst deciding where to chose from the list of first trip possibilities! Hubby can sip whilst polishing the outside or working out the payload ;)

This weekend, my goal is not to start any vehicle and watch the road madness from my sofa and bicycle :LOL:

Change of plan ! Grassington is off ( weather not good ) so it's west is best and Brecon Beacons here we come !

Off to Kent with friends on a "guided tour" round some of our old haunts, culminating with a meal on the K&ESR Pullman Saturday evening:) ...... in hotels not in m/h :(

Off to Weymouth on a THS ccc. Meeting up with my sister in her motorhome and my friend is coming in her very little Daihatsu Hijet camper. Should be fun.

Off on Friday evening to an adults only site at West Stow, will be completing the bed/table conversion, fitting a proper backrest to the bench seat behind the passenger seat, fitting the new Whale pressure switch to get the shower working again, fitting the wife's moose family to the back end, re-fitting the tracker in a new position, trying to suss out why the aerial knocks out the booster box when connected and where the 12v feed in the telly cupboard has disappeared to for starters.

And on Sunday and Monday.................:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
