Well I’ve found the kind of house we both like

Im afraid if I was spending that kind of money I’d want proper walls 😉
If you wish to pay the asking price I'm sure I could arrange for "proper walls", of course then you'd have and Indoor pool which defeats the objective surely

Rubbish, maybe down your way, its not escape to Sussex or wherever you live, it’s escape to the country.

I bought this for £37000 in 2000, there’s some up in the north in the country for 150k and less, maybe you and escape to country need to do some more research.

High up on the moors, huge garden, 3 large bedrooms, View attachment 466310View attachment 466311View attachment 466312View attachment 466313View attachment 4663142 drives, one for the Motorhome and the other for 6 cars, views to die for, its worth about £150,000 now. We got it valued beginning of last year just before lockdown.View attachment 466322
Your house in this part of Suffolk would be around the £400k mark, where I originate, Staffordshire/Cheshire border probably around the £200k mark. And there ain't a massive difference in wages. Most folk would be surprised that lots of trades do the 140 mile round trip into London/Kent to make it pay.

Lovely place you have by the way.

You said the above Lenny, chances are finding a nice place in Sussex for my budget is cloud cuckoo land but the programme is not called escape to Sussex, Devon or Wiltshire

Maybe the Escape to the country makers BBC are not in the real world, if it was up to them they would be charging 99 year olds as well for the licence, sh1t they are already trying that one.

What I’ve just proved to you is there are some beautiful places in the country for 150k.
Where ?

For that money up here you'd get a nice house, not saying yours is any different, we have an average size 3 bed 60's house and we'd be lucky to get £150 for it.

I suppose the wage may reflect the price in your area.

I don’t want to spend more than £350,000

Nah I’d have a sliding roof on it 😊

Good Golly! You lot don't know what remote is!.
If you have pets (especially a cat) it's too close to tbe road but it's a nice area with lovely countryside. There's a canal runs along there, close by Wrexham is a lovely little town- what's not to like?
The canal used to go as far south as Newtown but is not continuous nor yet reconnected to the main canal system.
I'm pretty sure it is on a bus route actually, though how frequently the buses pass I wouldn't like to say.
I think if i remember correctly there is a railway station in Wrexham
It is 40 miles by road to Wrexham station. Better to use Newtown about 3 miles away or drive into Shrewsbury.

I have clients with some amazing properties for sale.

The ferranti family has this fir sale, henbury hall estate

but look at this bargain for sale with indoor pool

I think if I was paying an agent to market a property at those prices I would expect a website that worked better on a phone and didn't repeat the first paragraph for no apparent reason!!
But it looks nice.

I’ve just got planning for 2 new houses in the country ( jockland )
£350k & you can have one

Quite a few I'd think depends what budget you have and where you want to be, also depending what size of parking.

Heres three that possibly meet your criteria.

1st one is in a lovely location on the outskirts of Dumfries,
2nd one is just outside Dumfries heading east towards Gretna
3rd one is small village to the south heading toward |Castle Douglas.

You could probably get 4 beds around the same price depending on location, or if you want to be in town you would easily get 3 bed with parking for under these prices.

Some nice ones there. I’ve looked around that way too

It’s a stunning estate. Tens of millions though.

I’ve a few celebrity clients and lots of overpaid footballers. None of which have homes that I would buy if I had 5, 10, 20 million

Having seen the interiors of some people with money.

I can only assume taste and wealth don’t always go hand in hand 😊

I've fallen in love with this one though and less than two miles from mine. Need that lottery win.

Check out the water feature (Last Pic)

NICE
You & Jack couldnt seriously live in that though Griff? Just the pair of you? You'd never see each other from one week to the next
Lovely for a multi generational family home though.

Welshpool is supposed to be really nice op & it's not too far from Shrewsbury which has everything.

I suppose it's a combination of parking & infrastructure & access to where you want to go in the mh & age(how easy are all of the things mentioned) if you're not driving.

Prices down south are just eye-watering!

Pattinsons and Natrass are the family names!
