THIS week I bought

A new 110amp battery as my old one had shot it. Not bad for £66. incl. though.

Thetford fresh up toilet pack, containing, seat, lid, new cassette and cleaning stuff. 4 x plug hole drain things, new shower matting, curtain hooks to be followed with a trip to John Lewis tomorrow to choose fabric to make new van curtains.

All to go in our other purchase this week a Hymer B660 SL.

Mousy's nest building:)

Life at present is a continuous stream of stuff for the Mercedes conversion.

Eight new windows arrived this morning, bought and paid for last year, before Xmas, Avtex 15" TV, same as the one in the trailer, not a bad buy for the money and it included the steel hinge bracket which we need. Satellite dish kit not bought yet but we know which one we will buy.

Clipsal switches, more 1000g polythene sheet for lining the roof, white UPVC sheets for lining out and so on.

Surprising that you can get so much stuff online now that would have been impossible 10-15 years ago.

Some parafin to keep the mice away from my motorhome. . will let you know if it works. :)

100 desiccant pouches!

I only need one! Our reversing camera got water inside. I stripped it and dried it. There was a very wet silica gel pouch inside which needs replacing!

That's worth remembering.... I not long ago had to get a new reversing camera as there was water inside.... maybe it could have just been dried out too and new pouches. :) Will check that if it happens again. Thank you.

Joy your rev camera was a swimming pool -you could have kept goldfish in there -no amount of desiccant/silica gel would have dried that out :D

A Cadac Grillogas BBQ from Millets online for £70, then received a further £10.50 discount because the unit received was not reversible as per their advertised details.

A Cadac paella pan to go with said BBQ for £22 from CampingWorld, reduced from circa £35.

Can finally use the external gas outlet on the van for something now!

My husband has bought me a Thermomix for my birthday and it turns out that the local rep is HushSpain a fellow motorhomer from Mirfield .... Looking forward to meeting you soon.

It arrived yesterday afternoon but having had laryngitis for a couple of weeks, then looking after grandson for the day, then visiting Father in law who is just out of hospital (having reluctantly recovered from deaths door .... Why did he ring for the ambulance when he just wants to go!) and battling home again through the snow I felt too shattered to start last night. So I just read the manuals.

Well I have had a lovely morning ......What a brilliant Kitchen tool, made curry sauces for lamba Keema and Chicken Korma, no tears from the onions and washing up so easy and so little clutter in the kitchen! both now slowly cooking in the AGA. Beautiful Red pepper and Tomato soup for a quick and healthy lunch. Husband fantasising about donuts and bread but my plan really is to shift a load more weight with healthy filling superfood recipes..... He wont mind as long as it tastes good. :D

Seriously good piece of kit ..... Yes quite expensive at £925 but we didn't bother getting anything for each other at christmas and we will use it without a doubt. If you love cooking and can afford it you will love this and if you love your wife and want to get some serious brownie points it is the real deal.

External screens! Thought I was going to die of hot hernia in Wiltshire last week. Hope the screens will help a little.

Too much!

AvTex 18.5" DVD/television & bracket, high density foam to store wine/beer glasses (don't do plastic), Kampa Dampbuster unit& crystals, non slip matting for cupboards.

Roll on the Caravan & camping show -NEC in February- need to rob a bank!

This week Ralphs bought
2x CTA seat swivels From magnums.
Broken Link Removed
A brilliant light strip that also stops drips when you open the sliding door. He wanted a black one So we had to get it from Europe ( Germany I think ) through a company called francana. He Also wanted a right hand drive .
They sent left hand in white. So it had to go back. They got it right second time though.

i put a drip stop over the door on ours realy a waste of time there is very little run of from the roof as the area above the door is so small and the roof runs back the other way the door is just so big rain falls straight in only putting the awning out realy stops it and you need the longest awning you can fit so it comes past the door a way

I bought a box of old cameras at an auction and found an infra red night vision scope in among them. Not sure what to do with it unless we park the MH near a badger's set or something, but hey, it was a bargain.
