This week, we bought a New Samsung UE55HU8200, 4k UHD 3d TV.
It's incredible. Good job too, we can't afford to go out for a good few years now. ( except in the van of course,)

Just ordered head set and bolts and a cambelt kit for it as I've decided it will be easier to transplant the ST head onto the Tribute block. Assuming the tribby bottom end is ok the ST short motor is probably worth a bob or two. The St lump was delivered from local breaker complete with 6 speed Getrag box, all ancilliaries (starter, alternator, PAS pump, inlet/exhaust manifolds etc) and still on its subframe with steering rack and suspension, almost all of which will sell on evilbay to recover some costs. I've also ordered an interface cable and software for the LPG conversion.

OK but if your making plans to rob a bank etc then go somewhere the TV can't hear you AND don't take your smartphone as that too could be spying on you

Today I bought a set of Silverscreens for our Moho.

Around 18 months ago I enquired about a subscription to the tracker (installed by Swift during production of my motorhome). It was a lot of money.

Yesterday I read about someone who's Fiat x250 who's MH was stolen

Last night I bought this...

I'll let you know how it measures up

I've got one similar which I'll be setting up this week. According to the blurb it can geo fence + phone you it it picks up any noise or movement AND when you contact it or visa versa you can listen to whats going on in your MH cost £30 !!!!!! You can hard wire it but it also has its own battery if the powers cut and will last about a week. After testing I intend having it hard wired

All the aires france, Acsi book and a mains hook up connector with the old style connector on just in case. :)

Cheers,

Jock.

Okay it arrived today. I'm very impressed with the bit of kit.

It has two batteries, a battery cradle like charger, a lead with USB so it can be charged from a PC or other USB power outlet (and plug-in charger if you don't have any USB sockets).

The sim card was already registered so I just used the website top-up to put a few quid on the card.

You call the mobile number associated with the sim and it sends back a text message giving it's location. Click that and my phone shows me where it is in the world (via Google Maps) and the state of charge.

I'll be trying it out in a few locations to see the best spot so it finds the maximum number of satellites and then I'll permanently wire it in. Then I may switch on the full internet tracking mode so we can see our route when we are on tour.

But motorhome aside this little thing can be put anywhere - it is tiny! If you're worried about your kids location, or have a habit of losing your bag/key/elderly parent this would give such piece of mind for £30!!!

Can you give me a link as to where to buy this please?

Peter

On their website it's £59.99... http://www.rewiresecurity.co.uk/product/tk102-nano-gps-tracker

but on their fleabay shop it's £29.99 http://r.ebay.com/EH6gXE

and the permanent power adapter was £10 (sorry not £8 as I'd said previously) http://r.ebay.com/VQtyIS
I have a couple of these, one in the van and one ready to go somewhere else. I bought the ones with £5 credit on the sim for £34.99 and the hardwire kits for a tenner each.
If you set it for full internet tracking, doesn't it keep texting you and using the credit?

I bought a new camera and a couple of lenses. Nikon D7100 with a Nikon 18-200VR and 70-300VR. Cracking kit
