Used a good quality breathable cover with a soft inner on a motorhome we had a few years back over one winter and when we took the cover off some of the corner of the roof and a couple of other edges had been warn through to bare aluminium with the wind and breeze moving the cover around and yes it was strapped down well, maybe a different matter if the vans under cover and out of the way of moving air.

I bought a . It's on its way from China...

Thanks for the tip. I have been playing around with the idea of putting some wooden beams across the roof with the cover on the top. The reason was it might give some protection against hail stones. It might also protect the paintwork.

Thanks to the heads up from a fellow funster member @peterc10 , just ordered a Weber Q1200 BBQ Grill & cover from Riverside BBQ,s, saved a few quid as they have never been that cheap.(end of season sale)
No excuse now for not doing full roast dinners as well as all the usual BBQ stuff whilst away without stinking the van out inside.
Be quick or you will miss it(y)

Ordered this watch for a penny (plus delivery) from Amazon. Can't wait to see what a top quality item I'm sure it will be.......

Worst case scenario, it will be the right time twice a day..

I'd be the last to criticize your penny watch. I've bought a lot of used 1p books from Amazon, many of which were in almost new condition. Don't mind paying £2.80 postage for a book costing 10 times that new. (y)

This looked like a bargain. It was the last one in the bookshop.

I didn't mean to imply that it was £5.

You can buy a c&cc version of this atlas which also shows the position of cs sites.

On casual inspection this atlas does show a lot of campsites. I am not a c&cc member so don't know if they are the ones shown. I did notice that one or two c&mc sites are missing including the one I was on earlier this week.

I suspect that Philips don't go to the expense of printing totally different versions of the maps, maybe just different branded covers.

One of our local low bridges is also missing from this atlas perhaps because the location is right on the boundary of the City approach section. I need to have a look again at the actual signage on that bridge and its access road.

Just renewed my tomtom app on my phone for another year. £14.99 but google play had sent me a£2.00 voucher to knock off. So £12.99 for 12months of up to date maps, traffic and speed cameras is a good deal. Especially as I dont need to buy a satmav as it runs on my phone and tablet.

After purchasing, I hurriedly went to my motorhome and set about playing with my new acquisition. The battery did'nt have much charge and needed to be plugged into the mains, so I havn't tested that yet. I used the 12v adaptor plugged into my motorhome. The rear tyres take 65 psi (4.5 bar) I released the pressure down to 55 psi then proceeded to inflate, this it did quite easily. The digital gauge gives a clear reading in either Psi or Bar and its lightweight and easy to use . My initial thoughts are that it does exactly "what it says on the tin" I think it will be a handy and useful item to keep in the m/h garage.

Last week, we bought a used MH it had one previous owner who never looked after it, so we are giving it the TLC it deserves and so far this week we have bought,

Front Brake Pads
2 Rear Bump Stops
2 Tyres
Speakers for the front doors
Toilet Cassette Kit
2 LED Lights
Replacement top for the Truma Gas Fire

On Thursday we are having installed,

160W Solar Panel, 2000W Pure Sine Inverter and a Gasit Refillable system.

If we keep going like this, we won't have any money left to go anywhere! :)

How much are you being charged to put the Gasit Refillable system in. Its not hard to install I know I just don't fancy drilling a hole in my new van, its bound to go wrong.

As you say, it is not hard to install and hubby could do it himself. However, as we are having the solar panel and inverter installed we decided to get it all done at once. Our MH is not new, but like you, hubby did not want to drill a hole in case he messed it up :) The Gasit system with the kit and euro adapters will be £431 installed, which is a great price as it's more expensive than that if you buy it from Gasit direct in Wales. By the way, I just had to pay £15 to join this because it said I had insufficient privileges to reply LOL. :)

Well worth the £15 my Hubble says it keeps me quiet for hours!!!

A small price for the help and advice available here! Welcome and post!
Oh, not complaining about the price, I was going to do it in the next few days anyways. I just did it now instead so I could answer Fontie.
