THIS week I bought

Pastéis de nata from Sainsbury's in King's Lynn (the big one at Hardwick). It's the first time I've seen this Portuguese delicacy in Sainsbury's. Maybe it is just this branch because of the sizeable Portuguese community in Norfolk (centred around Thetford)? They were on sale singly in the café and in packs of four in the bakery section. Sorry, no photo 'cause I've already eaten them :)

They were pretty authentic too, right pastry, right amount of caramelisation on the top (posh word for burnt). Mmm.

Went there again today, all expectant, and not a pastel in sight. Absolutely gutted! Only silver lining is the waistline will benefit :-(

Will be eating them next month, in Portugal.

A one season sleeping bag cos it is a third the size of my three season one and I suspect I will not need anything better in Italy next week !

£8 special offer in Halfrauds

This week I bought a new "Hi Fi" system for the Carthago as it didnt come with a radio or a TV:eek::eek::eek:.
Shopping list thus far:
New double din Pioneer head unit with DAB, Apple car play, 7 inch touch screen, USB & Bluetooth, remote Microphone & USB socket.

I Harman Karden Mid range AMP.(had it in stock, kept in attic last 15 years, but a classic none the less)

I set of 6.5 inch Focal FX Component door speakers with separate tweeters and crossover units.
Speaker door adaptors to fit new larger woofers in doors.

2 packs of Silver Line sound deadening matt for front doors (they sounded like biscuit tins when slammed shut, now they are like a limousine.

2 sets of Audio Quest RCA to RCA leads from head unit pre outs to amps.

10 mtrs Vibe Audio 10 Gauge speaker wire

Still need:
Crossover relay to switch from cab to hab batteries when parked up & the media button is switched on to power up the TV & Head unit.

Also bought
200 watt solar panel (German Cells)
I Victron Smart Solar regulator with built in Bluetooth, so we can see whats watt on our phone :)
I set of solar panel mounts, with cable entry gland for roof.
Still awaiting arrival of Sikaflex 512 from Amazon.

Been working in van 3 days in extreme heat, nearly finished inside at last, but roof will be too hot to kneel on I bet, may have to wait until early evening to get up there:eek:

Just purchased one of these for my fridge in hot weather.

Which one is this Kelv? Only kits I can find are about £50. I'm tempted just to get a £3 fan controller from China and a couple of PC fans and give it a go.

New chassis battery. Thanks @Techno for photo instructions. I would never had realised the red plastic jobby by had to be removed first.
What is it’s role in life for interests sake?

There are details on the forum of those who have made their own version quite successfully and cheaply ... just do a search and they should pop up.

It secures the fuse box to the battery rather than stressing the battery terminal

For the back of the motorhome :-)

If you go the controller and pc fans route, I'd recommend the Arctic F12 fan, a bit more expensive but absolutely silent in operation. Just done it myself ! You can also clip the temperature probe to the side of the fan right in the best temperature zone with a tie wrap and self adhesive mount

Got one exactly the same - same colour too. Great little bike.

Not actually seen it yet as still in Greece but came with the Honda box/cover/wheel lock/helmet & gloves :-)
Do you travel with yours in the garage or on a rack ??

On a Easylift rack (not the trailer type).

With all this hot weather its a shame that some of you poor people can't even afford your own pool.

Don't be jealous but here is a photo of my wife and I enjoying ours.....

3 x USB Clip Fans for the kids to have in their bunks at night. Quite impressed by these actually - may buy another 2 for me & "the Management". The fans can be stood on a flat surface as a desk fan or clipped to something (sides of shelves in our case), has a brushless motor so is very quiet, runs on 2 speeds - lower speed seems perfect to give a gentle breeze across your face to make you feel cooler in bed - and is powered by plugging into one of the multitude of USB sockets I've fitted to my van. 700mA draw at maximum.

Amazon product ASIN B01EWA8KHS
AND as if it couldn't get any better, the box tells me that "Its beautiful appearance contributes to the fondness by many users". Got to love a bit of Chinglish! ;)

I'm going to have a go at one of the cheap Chinese thermally controlled relays fan controllers with a pair of quality Arctic F12 fans, so £11 all in. If it's unreliable, I'll spend twice...

cheap Chinese thermally controlled relays fan controllers
\You'll need some good quality thin wall wire as well, the leads on the controller are woefully short !!
Good luck with it, it's not as hard as you may think..
