Morelo or Concorde

I'm not sure if we have this on our current model but if we don't then I don't need it. I will drag my original spec out to check. But I have gone for full air and the wider axles as I feel stability on this type of a class is important
Would seriously have a drive of one with the Telmar if you have not already😁😁

Is that the wide front axle or just the spacer option? re the retarder option on your Home, if you don't have a handle that pulls down and goes click, click, click (actually I think it's 5 clicks) then you don't have it and I would be very surprised if you did on a showroom model, full air and active or just rear??

I think I get more excited when other people buy a new van than I did when we bought ours :giggle: well it's not my money ;)

Not cheap but I would definitely spec it if I bought another van😁
We currently don't have a retarder and I've never felt I have had an issue on mountains and I've done some dousys especially in Spain with a 17 switchback mountain road, Phil had the good sense to shut up and just sit there.

I will email my choices when we have finalised all of the financial with Mike. If you don't mind having a check over as it's always nice to have a second opinion especially when it comes to solar and batterys

Next time you are in Stokesley I can take you a ride out, you must know the Helmsley road? 3 clicks on the retarder and down Newgate bank without touching the brakes (y)

Yep wouldn’t buy it without one in that class, they save lives, absolutely brilliant technique
Probably one of the best options on a big van, so easy in Switzerland and Austria going down through hills and even on normal flat roads.
Would not be without one.

You would know if you have it lol, you wouldn’t then want to be without it👍

What’s the differences between old and new then?👍, congratulations on the purchase😃

The layout is improved everwhere but the bedroom (going from a standard to a transverse island) but we prefer that. i get more work top space in the kitchen plus added an underslung gas tank, washing machine, aircon for habitation, improved oven from gas to combination microwave grill oven, lots more solar and lithium battery's and we get more cupboards and headroom at the cab end as we haven't added another drop down bed at the front (ours has never been used in 2 years on our current motorhome ), pump system from into the grey to the black, key code for the habition door and digital mirrors (screens inside not external mirrors) I'm sure there's other bits as well.
I suppose it's the fact that we bought an off the peg ready to go morelo which is fine but a dealers model wouldn't necessarily add the toys that we are adding yet add stuff we don't need.

They can always add it to the spec sheet when they get home Mark ;) it's only money after all, I think I would have been tempted by the MirrorEye camera system as well though as our mirrors do have an annoying habit of finding trees and hedges on tight sites.
Its a tough choice, The coach mirrors can create a blind spot on curves, especially when the seating position is fairly high, and are quite vulnerable to hedges but people complain about distance perception with cameras. Ive fitted my own cameras as well as the Coach mirrors and find I use them a lot, especially the righthand one for slip roads as its a much wider field of vision.

I use the retarder a lot and so did the previous owner, so much so that one of the brake pads disintegrated before it wore out. Do the dailys have exhaust brakes?

No idea if they have exhaust brakes. Although I find my current morello/iveco easy to brake and control.

No exhaust brake Jon, just the retarder if you spec it.

I will throw the *Max and Paddy* 1980's sunvisor (in blue) I had made up in the bin then!! :giggle: Well done on making a decision, catch up soon.

Ha ha fair enough. Yes we are in dusseldorf area till at least Monday as when we had the tyre blowout before we arrived on dusseldorf its affected our rear air suspension so I'm getting the local vb guys to check it over.

I think your coach mirrors are a lot better than ours Jon in that they don't project further than the front of the bodywork so are less inclined to gather in trees and hedges.

I still think you've got one of the nicest vans on here...but I'm biased . I love the interior on it.

Not bad for a panel van :)

😂😂 yes we did get seduced by morelo again. We literally clambered through virtually every make and style of motorhome. A panel van was not to be.
HaHa Enjoy :)
