I think you'll manage fineI'm pretty good at tight roads after driving 7.5t wagons with 3,5t trailers on the back in the uk since I was 18 years of age. But I've been to greece mainland and islands and some of the roads just seem a bit more suitable for a smaller 3.5t van.
However after a few comments from yourself and other funsters I think I just need to get on with it and just do it.
Quite. We were at Prapatno Southern Croatia couple of weeks ago, its a big campsite with no marked pitches and acres of space but not enough for some especially the guy in the 7m coachbuilt who first got stuck under a tree and then managed to hit a Morelo. There was a right crunch as he hit the mirror on an old shape home, scored the side of the coachbuilt but didnt only put a scuff mark on the mirror casing.Yes I find that a lot ...squeekybum drivers that can't drive their motorhome leave reviews saying places were tight or too small etc ...but only if you can't drive the vehicle you are in .
AM I understanding this correctly? thta you have got 3 MH's?Good morning again
We bought a Globecar RoadScout (5.4m) fully specked 2 years ago and tried out the idea exploring the UK. It was a resounding success, however we prefer a little luxury, hence the reason for a change Presently have the Globecar for sale on auto trader at £63,950
I think he’s sold the globecarAM I understanding this correctly? thta you have got 3 MH's?
I guess the problem is the way the market has been heading the last couple of years and prices are still very hot with little if any discount so you are expecting a decent trade in, but the dealer is looking at the way the market and economy in general are heading and thinking how he is going to get rid of your trade-in in a years time when you new van arrives, he might not be able to give it away thenIt's not the purchase price that is the issue, its the trade in price

Its times like this that a time machine would be handy.I guess the problem is the way the market has been heading the last couple of years and prices are still very hot with little if any discount so you are expecting a decent trade in, but the dealer is looking at the way the market and economy in general are heading and thinking how he is going to get rid of your trade-in in a years time when you new van arrives, he might not be able to give it away then
Strange market place at the moment if I had wanted another Hymer I wouldn't have got a discount which is unheard of.I guess the problem is the way the market has been heading the last couple of years and prices are still very hot with little if any discount so you are expecting a decent trade in, but the dealer is looking at the way the market and economy in general are heading and thinking how he is going to get rid of your trade-in in a years time when you new van arrives, he might not be able to give it away then

Attitude to risk I guess.Strange market place at the moment if I had wanted another Hymer I wouldn't have got a discount which is unheard of.
The deal I did on a Carthago, no discount but good trade in, far more than I expected and prices guaranteed even though delivery is a year away.
See you in Villmar MartinI have one
you can borrow it last week
I actually gave him the option of ours traded in end of October this year.I guess the problem is the way the market has been heading the last couple of years and prices are still very hot with little if any discount so you are expecting a decent trade in, but the dealer is looking at the way the market and economy in general are heading and thinking how he is going to get rid of your trade-in in a years time when you new van arrives, he might not be able to give it away then
Can’t argue with that, I wouldn’t have wanted that sale to slip away but their business.I actually gave him the option of ours traded in end of October this year.
Won’t a German dealer trade in your van? It's not the purchase price that is the issue, its the trade in price
No. They are not interested in british vehicles, not after brexit it's become too complicated.Won’t a German dealer trade in your van?

Although mine is a left hand drive, still not interested.Because they are RHD and need recycling to the British market with import costs and problems, or because they are British Registered?
Although mine is a left hand drive, still not interested.
Yes I can’t understand that either Geoff, not taking a LHD vehicle. Ours was bought from Germany, not modified in any way but they wouldn’t now PX it?Then I cannot understand because as dealers surely they could re-register at their address?
That’s correctI think he’s sold the globecar
Correct for a week onlyAM I understanding this correctly? thta you have got 3 MH's?
Brexit a problem, how dare youIt probably was a bit of that with the added brexit problems
