Pot Noodle......

So much for my early dinner I was in the middle of cooking.
Mario's little Italian joke ?First problem I have in the morning is getting my bonnet open as it won't open at the minute.
Anyway I'm just fed up so I'm off to watch a movie and eat cake.
I think Tam had hardly used the van before setting off.Oh man, you are putting me off going away in Feb! My van is 23 years old, but I have had it 9 years so have built up a bit of feel for it.
Good luck with the bonnet and battery.
Your friends pup is a beaut!!
Indeed, I've been following Tam's adventures for a few years.I think Tam had hardly used the van before setting off.
A lot of work done and preparation but the van is really 'running in' and Tam has the knowledge and experience to fix most stuff
Too lower current to cause the amount of drain we appear to be getting. My guess is the reversing camera not switching off completely...
...based on no technical knowledge whatsoever.
But is it... ?Too lower current to cause the amount of drain we appear to be getting.
I had a big drain on my leisure battery this year, killed 2 batteries.Too lower current to cause the amount of drain we appear to be getting.
Lenny, could it be more like a relay not switching off?Too lower current to cause the amount of drain we appear to be getting.
Not taking that much current and I think the fridge is not AES.Lenny, could it be more like a relay not switching off?
Fridge perhaps
No news is good newsCome on Tam, we need a Jade health update
I thought the garage were going to rule out other stuff before changing the alternator, surely the battery would be #1 on the list!He is going to get a surprise when he gets the bill, he's been on the phone to his help line for over 8 hours so far this week.
Looking like the starter battery, not been able to confirm as his cheapo clamp meter no like small currents. He is going to have to disconnect the battery to do an accurate measurement so leaving it for now.
That’ll be two out of the three thenI know what you’re saying tam, BUT in fairness to Dutch 68 it used to be the old saying replace all three (Battery, starter, and alternator) cos when one went down it wasn’t long before the others followed it
AND you might not be so conveniently parked close to dealers or motorfactor shops next time
BUT hopefully it might be something rather simple
They established that the alternator was faulty and we are still not certain if there is a drain on the battery or if it's faulty, they couldn't do much more in the timescale.I thought the garage were going to rule out other stuff before changing the alternator, surely the battery would be #1 on the list!
Uncle Lenny has been promoted, he is now Tam's personal secretary answering all of his callsThey established that the alternator was faulty and we are still not certain if there is a drain on the battery or if it's faulty, they couldn't do much more in the timescale.
