MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

Tam, don't forget your capital will depreciate in time. Whereby investing in property, ie renting out will always be inflation proof and maybe somewhere to park your van as well. Look at cars and houses the last 10 years. Good luck whatever you chose.
Yeah but not sure what I want to do yet so just waiting it out.

I had never heard of Raisin but have had a look. They are not actually a Bank, they just partner with Banks.
Yeah they're a platform I guess. Martin Lewis recommended the app. I've been using it a couple of years now

Who knows how or why dates are picked. I used to get paid on the last working day of the month, got TUPE'd to a different company and they changed it to 23rd of the month, nice getting paid after only 3 weeks instead of 4 for 1 month at least! Now TUPE'd again and get paid on the 6th of the month. Started to take a pension last year and that gets paid on the 18th day of the month, there clearly isn't an obvious or sensible day to make payments! 😂 😂

Aye but the terms clearly states interest is paid monthly on the last day of the month .. they cannae skip a month just because February has less days in it lol. And the 29th was a Friday so not like the weekend is an excuse.

Few pics from today , had a walk around the old side.

Moved after lunch, picked up some shopping and stopped at a beach half way between side and alanya for tonight. Nice beach but man it's feckin noisy. Good parkups not easy around here though . Lots of bans on campers . We're heading past alanya tomorrow to a cave

It should calm down after Alanya that's about as far as the tourists go, we noticed a change once we started getting further south
After the cave I'm going to head inland for a bit as there's a few things I want to see up near konya etc ..

I know you've probably said before but what drone have you got... and is it quite stable & easy to operate ?
It's a dji mavic air , first generation . Probably a good 6 years old now but does the job. Very simple to operate.

Had 3 strays for breakfast this morning , then a walk and play on the beach before we got on the road for our 4 hour drive east ... we are parked up at a wee bay In aydincik which is just a few miles from the cave I want to visit tomorrow. I figured it would be quieter on Monday than today as weekends bring out all the locals . This wee bay was full of picnicers today .

The amount of times I get told "oh I'd love to do that you're so lucky" and when I say why don't you I get every excuse you've heard of. I've offered people the opportunity to come travelling with me and told them they only need to chip in a little towards their extra food/drink as everything else is already paid for ... and still it never happens. People say they'd love to do what I do but they lack the courage to just go for it. Everyone is brainwashed to be always working and saving up for a house etc ... I was seeing someone for 2 months when I was back home but that was their goal ...work work work to save up to buy their own house etc.. then when mum got sick they couldn't handle it and took off.

It's not easy dating these days.. I reckon you have to find the person before you start living in a van and travelling as its not easy once you're already doing it. And I'm complicated ....so that narrows the field even more.

It feels like I'm faced with a choice , either be single forever or give up travelling etc for now and comform to society while trying to find a match. Which I've no guarantee of finding anyway. It's a shit situation
Find yourself a rich woman.

Tam you never know mate. Someday you will be emptying your toilet and the person standing next to you emptying hers. And you get a splash-back from her direction 💩.
And from then on love ❤️ blossoms and she loves 🐕.
So every time you get a wiff from your cassette your heart ❤️ flutters. 💕💕💕

Only one problem with that scenario which those who know Tam's toilet habits will realise ... I don't think putting bags of human poo in a bin will have the same romantic effect!!! 😆

The Foreign Office has updated its travel advice for Turkey warning UK tourists of a “high threat” of a terrorist attack. The updated warning was issued on Friday (1 March) telling holidaymakers to be extra careful, listing some places in the country that might be risky especially due to past attacks.
The latest advice from the Foreign Office (FO) states: "There is a high threat of terrorist attack globally affecting UK interests and British nationals, including from groups and individuals who view the UK and British nationals as targets. You should remain vigilant at all times."

It adds that most terrorist attacks “have occurred in southeast Turkey, Ankara and Istanbul” and holidaymakers should remain aware of their surroundings, keep up to date with local media reports and follow the advice of local authorities. Attacks could be out of the blue and happen in places where lots of people go, like public buildings, religious sites, airports, and during big events or holidays.

That's the same for any country though isn't it? Says the same for threat level in France ...

Have they moved Istanbul then? I'm pretty sure it was in the North West when I passed it.

And they've the cheek to say holidaymakers should be aware of their surroundings lol. They buggers need geography lessons
