Here's the pics of the day .... and a bit music to listen to while you peruse ....this guy can sing

Right then , morning walk on the beach at farini....the stray was back so he joined us, they all had a play about ..I think milo might be gay as he kept trying to hump the stray ...

We then headed off , drove to alexandroupili and picked up some supplies in lidl , then headed towards the border and too tonight's parkup at a wee hilltop church in feres ... got stopped by the police in an un marked car on route , they just asked where I was from where I was going where I was staying tonight and wanted to see my licence etc ... that was that.

There was a polish motorhome here when I arrived but they left again so I'm here on my own. Been a cloudy dull cold day today with a bit of rain but a nice sunset tonight.

Gave the van a bit of a hoover and sweep out , topped up my fluids etc . Dug out my passport , v5 etc and some cash for the morning. We should be in Turkey by noon if all goes smooth. For some reason I'm always nervous as hell crossing borders and always anxious about new countries. But I'm planning on just heading down towards gilapoli peninsula... and I've a stop by the coast earmarked for our first night. I bought an esim for Turkey £10.26 for 20gb data , no calls or texts though but to be honest I rarely call anyone it's always WhatsApp..but I may also check out a tourist sim later once I've been in Turkey a few days.

Looking forward to your take on Türkiye, watched hours of you tubers doing it especially Tread the Globe, and I can’t wait to retire and head off to Türkiye, please report how you find the cost of things and if it’s a true 30odd to the £👍

We use nappy bags adequate, scented and a fraction of the price of official dog bags.
Wow, just checked these out and other than being translucent they are pretty much the same at a fraction of the cost, thanks for the tip. Apologies to Tam for quoting on you thread.

That's actually more expensive than I pay for doggy bags .

Home bargains shop. You get 100 thick poo bags for £0.85

No doubt the program will start with Ben hiking with rucksack on his back to meet up with this guy, even though the guy has driven to where he is parked up - probably
This pees me off it underestimates the viewing publics intelligence especially when we also know the cameraman is following him with his tent or whatever he kips in when Fogles in a caravan up a tree or whatever.

We always used nappy bags as Mr Gina M liked the price of them. I bought some proper poo bags one day, he said he would never use flimsy nappy bags again so we have never gone back to using them.

Might see you on your return leg of your trip as I'm thinking when we get finished here in Morocco towards the end of March I'll head home for a couple of weeks and maybe take another spin back out to Turkey again, to do the top half the Black Sea coast again and into Georgia, we did a few weeks up there on our last Turkey trip but would like to give it a bit more as its a stunning part of the world, so we may cross paths again big yin.... unless you see me first of course! 😂😂👍

I had to walk next door's 6 month old Boxer pup last Thursday and Friday due to their work commitments. I got one of my Tesco nappy sacks out of my back pocket to do the necessary and wished I'd brought a carrier bag !
I'm not sure what they're feeding her on, but it must be mostly fillers ? Our 32kg Pointer who's on raw food, poops out 3 or 4 golf ball sized firm lumps and that's it.
I didn't know whether to pick up the Boxer's, or put a flake in it !

I once bought a can of spray online that claimed to turn diarrhoea into firm poo, so it was easy to pick up. My puppy at the time did a sloppy one at his training class. I told the audience watching how I was going to deal with it with the spray, it didn't work but it caused a massive laugh:giggle:

Maybe you had to give it time to go off🤷‍♂️😁😁

Tam, can you get hold of Ben Fogle’s New Lives in the Wild? Last week’s was about an Irish guy, who had an interesting life, ending up with some money in Thailand, where he’s set up a dog sanctuary and feeds loads of local dogs too. Very inspiring bloke. (Next week’s is on full-timers in a motorhome so looking forward to that.)
Yes, he’s such an inspirational guy. His name is Niall Harbison. I follow him on Twitter where he posts great videos about what he does and all the lovely dogs. The videos can be so hard to watch though, most of them bring me to tears 🙁

I agree. Tam have you watched it? I Just watched it and I was in tears for most of the time. I worry how he will cope when Snoop dies. My Stanley died almost 3 years ago and I still struggle. I would love to send Niall a donation does anyone know how I can do that? I don't do Facebook or Twix :giggle:

Tesco or Sainsburys 60p for 300. I don't know what people are doing with them to stick their fingers through, I have picked up after two 50+kg Ridgebacks using them for over a decade with no dramas, sorry, you can return to your breakfasts now. 😂

He'll be fine probably on his way to Cannakale to park beside the Helen of Troy Trojan horse getting his sim card sorted (that's what we did) then on for some more of his adventures....
Either that or its Midnight Express the sequel coming up.... 🍿
