Got one of those after the Allegro. The Allegro made it feel like a step upI must have been a snob mine was a Morris ital ?
Pfffftt that's nothing............... I once had an Allegro.
You triple your postings in one day in over 3yrs to moan about people posting too much.....?9 pages?

Not a rusting Allegro? ?Pfffftt that's nothing............... I once had an Allegro.
Well that is an interesting question, but it ignores other factors. To have the right license one might need an eye test,or maybe a check on heart condition. Or maybe the driver has had other health problems that affect safety. Your question is valid but it assumes the driver is not causing greater risk through health issues. Now in no way do I condone JJ in his choice to not follow the rules. However how many on this forum choose to run their Motorhome knowing in excess of their MAM.
What is more dangerous driving a legally weighed Motorhome without the required licence or driving Motorhome that is overweight.
Laziness?@podif is its easily checked at a weigh bridge, why don't more drivers check then?
I know some who know they are overweight.
I thought it was 'Austin' Allegro ?Not a rusting Allegro? ?
So do I. I even offered to take my mate to a weighbridge, 1 e, .@podif is its easily checked at a weigh bridge, why don't more drivers check then?

I know, but am trying to diet ..... the van, on the other hand, is another matter@podif is its easily checked at a weigh bridge, why don't more drivers check then?

With his stash of FB pies I can't believe for one minute it would be below 3500kg!personally I knowingly break the law quite regularly, but retain the moral high ground knowing that the particular law is wrong. Many other people also knowingly stretch/break laws knowing that even if "shit happens" and they get caught out there will be no repercussions. On the scale of law breaking, driving a motorhome 300kg heavier on paper than a licence allows is trivial. had it been weighed, I expect it would have been under 3500kg anyway with just JJ and his belongings onboard. So any wrongdoing is limited to a weight plate and a v5 (or portugese equivalent). Not the crime of the century, that's for certain

Why does exceeding a posted limit make a driver 'dangerous'? Under many conditions it isn't safe to travel anywhere near the posted limit: conversely it is safe under many conditions to exceed it. How was it derived? Every A road anywhere in the UK is subject to a 60mph limit (there are exceptions of course). I, and probably you, could name roads where to travel at 60mph would be lunacy. I can name many others that are safe at speeds well in excess of 60mph in good conditions. And how many break speed limits on a daily basis , potentially far more dangerous
In that case I Retract My Apology & my original statement towards you on both account still stand ?Hi Just Smiffy. Another correction, not been a member for over 3 years, only signed on last week.
Not what you quoted in your earlier post ?i decided to become a member only last week therefor only able to view selected posts until I paid your fees. Never considered that I had joined until then. from my point of view I am a ”NEWBEY”
Bit unfair. Perfectly acceptable to consider yourself not to be a member until you subscribe and can post. Not what you quoted in your earlier post ?

In my defence both the Allegro and Ital were company cars. There’s no way I would of had an Allegro ??
