Is almost everyone on here loaded?

I am spitting feathers today. Really messed up. A bottle of water has cost me £549.00 as I knocked it onto my new laptop and it has gone blank. Does anyone know if this is the end. Will it dry out and work again? HELP !!!
David and Sally didn't you do this once with a bottle of wine?

You’re not having much luck on the IT front.

Even more painful at the moment, Motorhome is sitting on the drive & I'm in Thailand.
Have to keep looking at it on my security cameras to cheer myself up.

Rice. Put some rice onto it to soak up the water and then pray

I always buy something especially on those free sites in French villages, just look for the nearest bar and buy a beer !!! staff are really friendly and always wanting to practise their English.

Gina
If we stay the night we always buy our baguette locally and if we fancy a beer out (not that often) the PMU is our choice of bar.

its just that we plan 2 to 3 days in advance and if passing free water, it is extremely rude not to accept in our view.

It was in reply to Spriddler s £8,20 pint in Brighton
Pizza, something else I can't understand, how the hell can they charge those prices, you can get one in Lidl and do it yourself for not much over a pound.
That's another thing.Whilst in Brighton recently there is /was a permanent 12 delivery riders sitting waiting in the main street for food top deliver? What's that all about? & no shortage of them coming & going all the time.
Also Who has breakfast delivered? Mind who eats breakfast as I don't?

I vaguely remember someone on here bragging on the forum having paid £65.00 or was it £85 for a camel burger covered in gold flake!! Think he was in Dubai!!!🤔🤔
Makes the pizza look good value!! 😊😊
DJT
Thats cheap, you could Dine at Nusr-ET steak house London and have a Tomahawk steak for around £1,400

What do you expect I live 7 miles from there and I try to avoid the pace.

A bit too subtle for some, perhaps?

I wrapped it in a towel for a couple of hours then gently heated it with a hair dryer. Plugged it in to the charger, no blow outs so good news there. Still no screen so hoping the charger will warm it up more. Fingers very tightly crossed 🤞Thanks, I will try that if this fails.

It's horses for courses, as pensioners we would not dream of paying £30m per night, we prefer the smaller sites or aires anyway. I personaly am happy to see the ones who choose to pay the extortionate site fees as it means they are not taking up the smaller and cheaper spots that we use. It's not a matter of being tight, we simply don't like being ripped off, happy to pay and give our money to the ones who deserve it.

Ginam far to soon be be pluging it back in. Should have left it for at least a couple of days. Too late now though.
Leave it for a week and send it back under guarantee - it just stopped working.

How flippin lucky am I. Just rebooted and it's back with me. Phew! I'm so relieved. I have been dancing around the kitchen with the dogs.

But flying to Thailand is a bit extreme :p .

Must break your heart, how many trips through the tunnel would you get for a flight to Bangkok .

Did you fly Thai? Are masks still obligatory?

We just did 18 nights in SE Poland using P4N and we ended in some very nice wilding spots. We did want to go to 2 places where we would have paid to see some attractions but the CPs and all the verges nearby were rammed with cars.

I never look at charges, just whether the place is where we want to be, but they all seem to turn out to be wildcamping spots. The best one was a gliding club on a hill with great views. It was a very smart club with a hotel and restaurant. We checked that parking was OK. We had the prime parking spot looking down the hill with adjacent grass for table and chairs, plus the view of the glider launching to keep the Captain amused. We used the restaurant, eating on the terrace and food was good and not expensive despite the location.

I think that in the UK that would have cost £50 if it had facilities, but this did not and we do not use them anyway.

I know I took a chance; I had no choice. I need it working today as it is Payroll week. I was going to talk to Currys and see if they could replace it for me for free, not that I would have got a human being to talk to :giggle:

Eve air, normally go Emirates but prices were silly in August.
Yes masks compulsory., impressed with Eve as good as Emirates only thing was it was a Boeing a lot noisier than an Airbus.

Don't know if Thailand has changed much. I hated Bangkok, spent a whole flippin week there, but loved Pattaya.
