Is almost everyone on here loaded?

We’re both retired and the state pension wouldn’t come close to covering our fixed costs, never mind all the optional things we do. Will the increasing energy costs cramp your touring style?
Our state pensions comfortably cover our living costs, especially in Turkey but other countries too.

Still no mention where these £100 fields are. Come on Chaser give us a clue so we can avoid them if we choose. 😉

We are off to France for 3 weeks and if we spend more than €50 total for aires we have had a expensive trip

I take it you wont be on Aires for the full 21 days?
If so then €2.30 per night is uber cheap!!!!
I suspect you will be wilding somewhat.
Have a nice trip anyway 😊

We spent nearly 3 weeks in SE Poland and nowhere were there Parking restrictions, height barriers or charges and we had some very nice spots on edges of villages and in small forest CP with clearings where there were wooden shelters, BBQs and fireplaces.

We also parked on top of a hill which is a gliding club but with its own 3-floor smart hotel and restaurant beside a CP with wonderful views for kms. We asked at the reception re parking - 'No problem', We had front stalls space but not blocking views because cars were empty. Food in restaurant was good.

Can you be a 'FLT' when nobody asks for money?

We had company at night except for 2 nights when we were parked by a lake and there was a caravan with several tents hooked on: they came every year for 4 weeks. It had been a campsite till owner gave up for health reasons. Loads of water birds herons, swans, and ducks etc. Our neighbours when walking had seen bear tracks and heard wolves howling at night.

There was a whole thread about these sites about a month ago where someone from Northumberland way has set up a website where you can book to be the only one in a field with no service for upwards of £100 a night, I will try to find it.

We had the same at the CAMC Burford site.

I think you are allowed up to five vans on any one field without planning permission, well that was the case around 15 years ago around here.

One van at £100 or five at £20
Same difference for the landowner
