Ian and helga go south !!

Too tired to go out tonight!! Can't be bothered!! So Seville tomorrow, Can't bloody find my bit of paper with Motorhome service centre in Seville co ordinates on it!! Help !! Xx

What a bloody rediculous time to get up !!! Still I did go to sleep early, and when I've had enough kip I have to get up !!!

So I am moving onto Seville today, and I am going to the aire/ site that campa cola reccommended, it has cost me here the princely sum of 6 euros a night! Not bad but absolutely no facilities, no water, waste drop nada!! So 15 euros a night doesn't seem bad for everything!!

He says the only drawback is having to get a bus into Seville, well I don't mind that cause it gives me a chance to have a look on the way at the areas etc!!!

I am in need of some culture this week, so a museum or two would be good! Maybe an art gallery, giving me the chance to critique the work of the people that do something on a canvas and then with the help of the elite fool us into thinking that it's brilliant by coming up with all sorts of pretentious phrases and blurb !!! Oooh. Look darling, the artist has looked down into his soul and captured the turmoil of life perfectly!!! Don't be a nob mate!! It's a blue circle !!!
Anyway I will have a go!!!

So about ten I will be leaving, and sat nav says about an hour and forty mins so alls good!!

Jerez has been good, I don't think it's as pretty as Cadiz but the people have been welcoming and are very proud of their Andalusian heritage, and rightly so!!! The Spanish language is a bit different here again, I suppose it's like the uk where accents and dialects change with the areas etc !!

So I will update later when I arrive at said aire, and let you know what's occurring!! Enjoy your morning. Ian. Xx

Ian, if you are referring to the Area des Autocaravanas, it looks like N37.3626834 W05.9944233 but a few metres further along.

Av. García Morato, s/n, 41011 Sevilla, Spain

Morning anthea, and no babe I'm having to drink bloody tetleys now!! The last mug of Yorkshire I had was from sue and Steve in zahora!!

But sue did give me a list of icelands in Spain where I can get them, so what I am going to go is when I leave Seville, I will be heading back to the coast and Iceland hopping from town to town, I reckon if I buy 3 or 4 boxes in each one I should be ok for a while!! Lol. And it will also give me the chance to see and stop at some places I missed, such as Marbella, estapona, fuengerola etc !! Costa del crime. Here we come!!! Lol. X

I was wondering bigun!! I didn't know if it was a stupid question when I asked do teabags go off!!!! Lol
according to SWMBO if the lid is left off the tea caddy 24 hours they start tasting off. i must say that when i open a zip bag full in the van you get the same aroma you do when opening a new box

back when people used leaves and tea was expensive it was kept in an airtight box/caddy

Do an experimeny Ian, leave one kicking about for a few days then have a brew. Not sure my low budget taste buds would know!

Thanks for the entertaining updates over the weekend, my first weekend away this year and was struck down with an evil lurgy the first night :coffee:

Ian I don't know if you drink coffee, but i do the same for long trips away 2 or 3 months decant the coffee each jar into a air tight bag takes less space and less weight and I'm not looking around for coffee I like.

But in the right hands that could be turned into a work of art!!! Lol

You're certainly right there! A friend of mine (Ewan the builder...) is also an artist. I think that @Anthea M was alluding to this work my Damien Hirst, mother and calf divided:-

My mate's take on it was this, bannan, split:-

And if Constable had been around in the sixties, he wouldn't have painted a horse-driven haywain, he would have painted the landrover:-

Christ , if there in your living room, you must be minted!!!! Ha

Ian as if  no if you have not thought off it coffee jars weigh so much, and I do like my coffee, I do like your idea of putting the Iceland stores in you plan. I'm getting ready for the Chester Rally at Easter and you would not believe how much clutter I'll have to throw out.

As for art I'd rather look at good architecture churches etc and wonder at what went into the building of them without today's modern machinery .

Christ , if there in your living room, you must be minted!!!! Ha

Ha ha, I don't have any original damien hirst's in my living room, just a very fat cat who is about as inactive.

we "artists" thrive on a higher plain than mere money (i.e we're borassic...)

flip me !!!! I have just started and left my parking space at the aire and the bloke in the next van( Frenchman no English spoken) started banging on my van!! Well I stopped straight away thinking that I had lost something off the back but unfortunately I hadn't!! What I had done however is dragged his dog, a little pug under my back wheels !! The dog was apparently lying under my van at the back with no lead on or anything,, I managed to reverse off of his leg and now they have taken him to vets !!! He was lucky I was only crawling away from space! I'm shaking !! Christ what a start!! Should I go to the vets or wait for him here and pay for treatment do you think???

First and foremost how are you??
Wait out just for piece of mind. Wouldn't pay for the vets as it is the owner's responsibility, but offer a contribution if you like for piece of mind again.

Oh dear poor you and the dog obviously. Why would any owner let their dog rest under someone else's van? He must have seen you bustling about and obviously clearing off. How did mr frenchie seem upset with his dog or angry at you? entente cordial will be stretched but not your fault.

I always to a Wreckie round the van as hubbie lost his wedding ring once!! ( on purpose I said! Said he didn't want another!!!) have a strong sweet brew before you decide what to do.xx

What a dreadful thing to happen.

But as matamoros says, dog shouldn't be roaming around.

Put a damper on your day though.

Agree, having worked with animals all my life and seen plenty of dead ones it maybe doesn't have the same effect on me, but yeah , I'd be off, he shouldn't have had a dog roaming about with no lead, not your fault at all , afraid I would just go and leave him to it.
