Hello terry, I'm not in Cadiz town, I am in zahora, about an hour away, lovely site all I ever need but a bit of away from anywhere without a car! I think I saw that site on the Internet? Is it Ok?

Yes it is ok Ian. Quiet at night, when the brass band is not here. Secure car park with cc tv and lots of lighting. Walkable to Cadiz town. Can go wrong at €3 fir 24hr. . Have to pay at office otherwise you get charged €7.75 a day. Lots of cars, from the cruise ships i think left overnight so quite safe. If you don't mind that. Ok for a couple of nights to see the town.

Sounds like it would have been a lot easier to see Cadiz from!! And £3 a day ain't bad is it!! With free music! Lol

And staggerable from town. Lol. Your right though Cadiz is gorgeous. We're going to see more today, from a London sightseeing bus! !

Good man. Cleanliness is next to dogliness.
Thinking of asking a certain Spanish lady back "home" are we ????
Fresh bedding etc ????
Good luck Boyo !!
Mitch. (y).

To expand on above post. And a question for all you ladies out there!!! Lol. Would you , if you met a bloke you liked go back to his Motorhome ? Only to be faced ( if you stayed) with the delights of a drop down over cab bed, and all the challenges that may entail? Lmao. Xxx

Serious replies only, and voting lines are open till 9 pm. Remember to ask husband or bill payers permission before you reply and if you answer after 9 you may still get in trouble !!!! Lol

Not on a first or even third date for the drop down bed...... but I would go back for a cuppa and look round, both inside Helga and under her bonnet. I'd want to find out all about the other lady in the man's life before any hanky-panky!!!!

Well, being a lady, Im inclined to agree with @Puddleduck until I at least I felt safe with the person. If/when drop down bed was being considered, I would definitely be last up that ladder, my bum looks big inside a moho (OK, OK, its big anywhere nowadays) good luck Ian, watch out for your castanets;)

Is this a new chat up line " come and see my drop down bed" didn't it used to become and see my etchings!!
If a bloke takes me out for a meal pays and buys drinks and then says come and see my motorhome? I'd think he was rich! !!

Would probably depend on the amount of alcohol consumed :wine:

Seriously, I put myself in some potentially bad situations in my younger days and looking back I now cringe at the thought :Eeek:. If I were you Ian I would have your date and invite her back the next day to visit Helga and have a coffee, let her see you're not an axe murderer and then go on a second date and take it from there. :winky:

Look at it logically.;) You've had the ladder slip & caught your tabs; the bed has fallen on your head whilst driving ; most of the Flamenco dancers are gypsies or related too. So there's good chance of a horses head appearing . :( :D
Move the 15 place dinner service, microwave , etra cooker & assorted belongings & make up one of the side ones.

Good evening,,

This morning I went for a nice long walk along the beach!! Very sunny, very quiet, deserted, and lovely !! Stopped for a beer on the way back, which turned into two then three and then a further walk home!! Had a bit of grub when I got back then promptly fell asleep for 3 hours!!!

Today was one of those reflective days, the only person outside of helga I have spoken to is a barmaid! And that consisted of. Uno cervesa por fa vor, uno mas por fa vor and then finally senorita, uno mas para me!! So the sum total of about 12 words to a complete stranger!!! It was a nice day!!!

Now I am sitting here in a nice clean Motorhome finally making my mind up what to do and where to go!! Well I have decided!!!!

I am going to go to Seville on Friday and see what the city has to offer!!
So I am going to take it easy tonight, get up and pay tomorrow and get sorted for a morning departure on Friday !!

I have been told that the Easter weekend here in Spain is a very big deal for them! Maybe the biggest fiesta of the year and lots of campsites will be fully booked up, so I may just have to go to Aires for a bit, but that's all good for me, I have been living it up with electricity hook up, Internet, hot showers, bars restaurants for a few weeks now and God forbid I start getting soft!!! So that's the plan !!

Had a message on the phone from a mate of mine in uk about work, and it appears that he has gone to Norwich for some work and is doing well! Lots of work for bricklayers ( him and me) and the money ain't bad, about 375 to 400 £ per thousand which isn't bad nowadays and allows the oppertunity for around £1000 per week So if I don't manage to get work in France, or I decide not to go to Germany it's nice to know I can earn a quid in good old Blighty!! ( it must be due to a big pickup in the housing market)

It will be a bit sad when I leave to be honest, I have made a good friend in burndt here, and we have had some awesome times out!! And the people, both English, Spanish, German , Dutch etc have been great!! It's been good being here, I would highly recommend this site for a long stay but if you come for a while you would prob need a car!!! It's just a bit too far out from any town to walk, cycle etc. But site has great facilities!!! But for me it's back to the proper travelling lifestyle, Aires, no electric etc and not knowing where I'm going from one min to the next!! Lol

I have the coords for the Seville aire and that is all good !! Who knows I may fall in love again with another flamenco dancer !!!! And I may even get the chance to show off my overcab drop down, all singing and dancing bed!!! Lol. Xxxxxxx

Here in Lorca the setting up for the Easter processions starts this weekend with the closing of the main high street ( reputed to be the longest in Spain at nearly 2kms) , dismantling of all traffic lights & street furniture & the erection of 10,000+ banked seats , tickets for which go on sale usually the first Monday in March but a week earlier this year due to the early Easter.
Final part towards next weekend is the laying of 500 tonnes of sand on the road for the horses to get a grip on. There is Some sort of parade every day from Palm Sunday up to Easter Sunday with main one being on the evening of Good Friday. I've been a few times & it is spectacular to watch but you need to watch a local to see the passion that some have for it.
If you actually want to do anything or need paperwork from the council then most people know that as from tomorrow don't bother until 'Easter ' Monday.

I was up early today,,
Got a bit to do, emptying waste, cassette etc, filling with some water, having a tidy up etc !!

I will go into reception at about lunchtime to pay etc, and then the final put away and clean up begins!!

I must say I am looking foreward to moving on and seeing more of this beautiful country, and meeting more people etc,

So I will at about ten thirty, go into restaurant and have my last couple of cafe con leche,,, with me old mate berndt, and say goodbye to the lads and a few people on site, they all have been lovely !!

Yesterday I forgot to tell you about the French!! Well Tuesday night about 9 I heard a noise next door, put my head out the door and an old 4x4 had pulled up, no caravan, no Motorhome , no pop up roof etc. And an elderly French couple got out,, well they were all wrapped up cause it was chilly and they got busy sorting themselves out !! Well I thought nothing of it and went to bed!!

I woke early and put my head outside and saw them all dressed and standing by the car, it was chilly so I just decided to make them a coffee!! I didn't ask due to the fact that I don't speak French so I just made 2 mugs and put them down outside , got the blokes attention and nodded that they were there on my table, well his face lit up lol. Highly delighted, Anyway I asked if sugar was required by some gibberish and hand signals, but none was needed,,

I went back into the warm and got on with doing nothing, ( before my walk)

Anyway I heard the car drive off an hour later and looked out the door thinking that they may have forgotten and driven off with my mugs !! But no.....on my table was the 2 mugs and guess what. 2 of the biggest oranges I have ever seen !! Vivre le france!!!
