@ianthebuilder if you can change a plug and tighten a jubilee clip changing the pump and non return valve is well within your technical abilities. always a good idea to carry a spare too

Hi Ian it's a long shot but have you tried sucking the air out through the tap to help prime the pump?it worked on my t4 camper but I only had cold water, just a thought :)

The bike riding was pretty funny, could it be time for some jet skiing, maybe a spot of horse riding?

Well hello,on this lovely peacefull morning in Cadiz!!!

I have just met a funster and his Mrs, Dave and Leanne who happen to be in the Hymer opposite!!

Dave came over introduced himself and asked about water drama!! I told him my plight and he like yourselves has diagnosed it as a water problem , anyway he has a spare pump for me should I need it( bloody fantastic) and has explained like yourselves what needs to be done !! Lovely!!
Now I am going to tell you what happened last night !!

So what with all advice and help again yesterday( and thanks for that) I decided to have a nice chilled out evening and not worry about any of it till today!! So I had a nice shower etc! And was sitting back in helga watching an old film I was streaming from YouTube ! I was having a lovely time !!

I had a good few brews and was nice and warm ! Then the urge for a wee hit me !!

I walked into the loo and all was good!
I only wanted a wee so I decided to stand up and wee for a change!! ( now I have a sog unit in helga and i find it easier to sit down then open flap which starts sog etc ! ) so the lid was up and I bent down to slide the flap open ,,,,,
Now in helga I was wearing an old fleece lined shirt I have which is baggy and extremely comfortable and warm, it also has a lovely big top pocket which is handy for fags and lighter !!

Now as I bent down to open flap the packet of fags and zippo lighter I forgot where in my pocket slid straight out and down the pan !! Well I managed to grab the packet of fags virtually straight away cause they were wedged into the hole of the pan!! Bonus I said. No wet fags !!! But unfortunately the zippo ( which happens to be my favourite one) went straight in !!!!

Well, do I wee now or not, I said to myself but as I was busting I thought in my pea sized brain that the more liquid in the cassette the less solid the more easier it is to get the lighter out!!

I braced myself after weeing ! And proceeded to see if my hand would go down the hole ?? No was the answer to that ! So I thought about it for a bit then remembered I have a pair of tongues in the kitchen draw!!

Well I got these tongues from a Chinese shop and there not the best ! Metal ones with thin arms and cute little hands at the bottom of each prongue !

So down I went again!! Well I'm afraid even with the sog working I got a good wiff of the contents! ( not emptied since Granada) well I havnt got a strong stomache and I started to gag!!! So I leaned across into sink, while trying to fish about with tongues for the lighter, getting the frequent whiff of big contents!! Well it took me ten mins to locate lighter and another ten to lift it out! Dropped it straight in sink and into contents of my stomache that were in the sink as well !!
You see I have no running water to keep sink clear!!

I had to go back into the lounge area while dry gagging to compose myself!!
I then boiled a kettle of water to wash sink, lighter , tongues etc which I duly did !!!!

Now all is good! Lighter dried overnight but decided to abandon tongues to the bin , A wise decision i think cause if I ever looked at em I would gag with the memory, let alone serve some food with them to an unsespecting guest!! Lol.

Not knowing what a SOG is, I got to the point of ; I'm wearing a baggy shirt, and couldn't contain myself thinking a SOG was some sort of mulcher and I could see your shirt dragging you into the toilet cassette.:roflmto:

It's a fan that comes on and supposed to take smell from my bog into someone else's awning next door!! Lol
 
Ok update !!! Brilliant news !!!!

Took sofa off of frame,, lifted framework!
Unscrewed lid with gibbons on Assuming it was where the pump was located !!
Bonus I was right!!
Lifted pump out !
Removed pump from pipework!
Un clipped small filter from base of pump!
Cleaned and then gave pump a few gentle knocks,as suggested on tank! Replaced pump into tank !
Turned on hot water!
2 mins later I have hot water!
I also have cold water and guess what?

All water running continually !! At present!! Not returning to tank !!

So I don't need David's spare !! I will muddle along till I find a shop with a new one !! Thanks all I now will print myself a certificate out giving me a qualification into electrical and plumbing works with regards to all Motorhome water and heating systems !! I'm not too busy at present so if you would like to book my mobile service I will arrange to visit!! Lmao !! I love you all !!! ( while the pumps still working). Lol. Xxxxx.

Loving the lighter and tongs saga ...... Ugh....!!!!! Thank goodness you binned them but I might refrain from having meat off your BBQ just incase!!in your case doesn't SOG mean s*** on Germans!;)

So all you have to remember is that with a submersible pump, more so than an inline one I find, is that you do not ever want the tank to run empty as any muck in it will end up around the inlet & trapping the non-return partially open.
Did you miss the link to the caravan dealer up the road in Cadiz ?
