Ian and helga go south !!

If you fancy a different site near benidorm , we stayed at Val de Guadalest, 20kl north , old motorcycle museum/ resturant, o/n foc.

Thanks to @jtp890 for this, fantastic museum, never would have found it. We didn't stay but close enough to Benidorm for a detour from our route.

@ianthebuilder please could I ask something to help my poor old eyes, when you are writing about your brilliant adventures, could you please put one paragraph in as when I am reading a block especially on an I pad it comes up very tight and I loose my place, especially when I have tears running down my eyes laughing . :)
lolol. Carol I wish I was a proper writer babe because I would like to have the whole thread down on paper( I'm no good with technology) so maybe if we could get a volunteer to do that it might read better, I understand. But I failed miserably at school !! So sorry , But I will keep posting if you try to keep reading! Deal? Xx.

Havnt visited the museum for some time but it was fantastic many years ago. and he still had plenty of stuff to restore I must go back one day

Guadalest is lovely even if you aren't into museums, but agree its an added bonus if you are(y)

thank's
......Martin

Hi Ian, I think that @Carol just means can you push the Return key every so often so there is not a huge block of writing .. the writing itself is brilliant.

You see, us old fogies struggle with blocks of words. :)
Ahhhhh ok. Lol

Good morning,, well it's 6,30 am and I just had a lovely shower !! ( you never know when the next ones gonna be with all this traveling, do you? ) it's lovely and mild outside with a cuppa!!
I am going to javea later on and it's a bit touch and go, site I rang was full, so I will just have a drive round to see what's going on! I havnt really driven about on a sat before and I'm assuming there's going to bit more traffic!! But javea is supposed to be lovely so it's worth a look!! No major accidents to report this morning although getting down from bed I did catch my foot in the handle of the bag that holds my levelling blocks!! But no drama or spilt tea, I felt it happen and simply removed my foot!! I am going to make my way towards Murcia and Gus after the weekend and I have rung the mh dealer or shop he reccommended, it seems they have a lot of spare parts, handles for Windows etc but don't carry canopies in stock! Wich is a bit of a bummer because ordering and waiting is not high on my list of priorities!! And I don't want to outstay my welcome anywhere! ( if I get one). Lol.
So a slow weekend I am expecting and that might be nice!! It gives me chance to look at the map and see where south after gusses I should head!! Will update all when in javea,
Have a lovely day all xx. ( oh and the return button works a treat carol) lol xx.

Morning Ian! Wish we could sit outside for a relaxing cup of tea windy and rainy here! Enjoy your travels and glad it wasn't another accident this morning!
Hope you get your canopy sorted as you will need shade further south! Keep us laughing ! And enjoy!

Don't rub it in! It's that rainy here it woke me up slashing down on the window! That's my favourite time of day when on holiday and no one else is up walking round the site and toilet blocks empty and quiet no queues! Sun out and cycling off to get bread for breakfast... Happy days!!

Well done Ian.

Having found the Return or Enter button just hit it twice not just the once.

That way you get a nice clear line between each lump of writing like this. It definitely makes it a lot easier for us oldies who find a great big piece of text a bit of a challenge. And as others have said when tears are clouding our vision as a result of your escapades the gaps make it so much quicker to find your way back to your place.

Mind you, if we have tears rolling for the same reasons as you I don't think it will make a hoot of difference as we would probably being dropping the laptop/tablet or whatever anyway.

When I switch on my laptop first thing in the morning the wallpaper is a smiling two year old grandson of mine. That starts my day with a big grin. Second thing I do is to arrive here and click on your latest bit of the adventure. That has either the effect of increasing the size of my grin or causing laughter out loud.

With a start like that it gives the day ahead a good chance of staying in "A good day mode".

Thanks Ian. Keep it all going.

Very proffessional fenman!! Would you like to ghostwrite a Book ? Lol

Funnily enough I have already done that.
I met Captain, who is/was a member here, on a French forum and his book about his adventure of buying a ruined mill over there started life as jottings on that forum.
He suffers from dyslexia and when a lot of forum members suggested he write a book about it I offered to help. So we became firm friends in the ethereal world of the internet.
One day he and his wife Sue will call in to our place in France on their way south and we will meet for real.
It was very hard work but I enjoyed it immensely. My better half did some paintings for him too.

If your better half could capture the pain I go through on what seems to be a regular basis, I'm not sure I could look !!! Lol

Sounds a great idea ! Can't wait!!

What me?!;) Haha really your escapades have kept me laughing over the winter! And reading a book would be great! Shouldn't laugh at your pain Ian but you make it all so funny!! I'd say keep it up but some may think I'm being rude!!

Morning reckless. I just put road in sat nav!! I will have a look. Do mhs stay over night there? Ian.

Yes whole bundle of them look like they might have been there a while. A few brits
At first it looks like no room at the inn but I reckon you could find a place somewhere around or nearby.

We're new to 'winging it' but wish we'd seen it before paying for a site, though you get the benefit of hot showers!

That area is on the far side of Javea, almost on the way out but well placed for beach, cafes etc

Good luck

You sound as if your having a wonderful time Ian. The thread moves so fast I find I'm reading pages at a time to catch back up. Great fun reading and much better than a book. Im sure yours would be a bestseller.

Agh. Just seen it on map Gus,, that's bloody miles away from me!! Besides I would have to go past you to get there, and your not getting away with that mate!! Lol.
No only pointing out for you for end of next week & week end.:)
After I throw you out.

Just arrived in javea, lovely place !! I am on the beach ordering a coffee sorounded by sun and lots of people! I drove around a bit loosely following sat nav and bugger me if I didn't see lots of Motorhomes parked up! So I parked, lovely English couple told me police had moved them all on today but they havnt got my details so I'm gonna chance it for a day, and night! Apparently some of em were here for 3 weeks!!

I have just had a quick look round and I am right next to that scallops restaurant as well so double bonus!! Hope the police give me a break for the day!!

Well the seafront here looks beautiful! The restaurants look beautiful! The people look beautiful! I'm amazed how I don't fit in !! Lol.

I came to javea across that bloody mountain again but all was good,, I passed loads of cyclists ( again) and someone said that some certain cycle teams train here in the winter? I can see why!! Helga flew up the mountains but these blokes( and women) were flying too, the leg power and stamina must be amazing!! Made me sweat watching, trying not to knock em off the mountain!!!

So a few coffees and a bit of grub perhaps, but I don't want to be too far from helga in case the policia give her a scare!! And I'm not sure what to do really because I don't fancy driving at night! Maybe I will have food and move on a bit further?? We will see!! So coffee has just turned up, caffe con leche con dos asugar!!! Now that's not bad Spanish. Is it ??? Lol. Xx

What a fast mover you are Ian! It seems only a couple of hours ago you were sat having your early morning cuppa and now your in Javea! Have a great day! Watch those police ! Don't want Helga clamped or whatever they do!well of to B andQ to get light bulbs !!see what you are missing!? NOT!!(y)
