Well it's no drama big. If I can get parts here I will. I want someone who knows what he's doing to have a look first. I been told there's a couple of people here or local that can but videos sound informative!!

Wind awning in a bit get a big bent screwdriver and stand there looking gormless
I garantee within ten minutes you will have the following
The expert
The watcher
The talker
A tut tut ter
The I do this for a living
I have a big box of brand new tools
A ladder
And if your lucky someone who does know what they are doing type guy
Sit down and let them get on with it

Apparently it's the gearbox I have damaged and destroyed and all workings that go with it! End cap In a thousand pieces !! Like I said not life and death!! There's loads of people would change places with me at the moment I'm sure!! These things are sent to try us! And whatever phrase you can think of??? Every morning I wake up and say to myself today I'm going to be productive, then a voice in my head says ok,, then we laugh and laugh then I go for a nap !!!

If it's an Omnistor awning Ian, and you cannot source the parts, (fitting is the easy bit), phone Thule/Omnistor in Belguim, and make an appointment to call in when on your way back to Blighty. They will most definitely sort you out if parts are still available.

Then, when finished, you can visit Ypres a few miles away, and watch the " Last Post" being played by the town's Firemen at the Menen Gate at 20.00hrs. A very sombre experience indeed.

Hi Ian if it is on the business end where Handel goes a mate had similar on his (new to him) van a month or two back .
No problem getting parts in fact what he did was put an 12v motor with remote instead of manual and cheaper by half than a new awning .
Just a thought

Hi jock. That's what I was saving France for mate. I want to see all the beaches, cemeteries a couple of deserted towns left as they were ! Very moving I have been told before!!

Right good evening, well the few people I have met here have sorted me out with a few bits already( not to do with awning). I have a lift sorted for Monday to satellite dish shop! Bargain prices they all have them here! Even ed will set it up And show me all !! Lift will be available to source parts for awning also ( awesome) if poss?? And Internet reccommended coming thick and fast!! Shame I was such a dickhead really still gives me something to do next week! ( I like the idea of a motorised awning though ). I will have a walk about tonight so will let you know what's happening!! Xxx
 
Yes jock I walked up to those on nobhill earlier. They were the ones that sorted me right out!! Wish I was as posh as them!!! X. They even gave me a paper bless em they don't know I can't read! Still I can sleep under it I suppose!!
