Ian and helga go south !!

Hi Eddie, fridge was all good until yesterday! I turned he my on and it found that source but when I turned he by off it couldn't ignite with gas, I have had advice about blowing jets etc with aircan and I'm gonna have a go at that! It's no big drama mate I got very little in it! I think you must be close to putting your house on market now?? Good luck with it mate, nice to hear from you, I hope all are ok? Oh and I leave here tomorrow or we'd mate , for sunnier climbs !!! Would you believe I been in Spain over a month now and I havnt seen the sea or had a beer yet!!! Lol.
 
Ok , here is the news,,, all work finished, well work for Jo left, painting etc, all work for me though!! Tomorrow morning I'm going to have a couple of hours tidying up and moving some heavy stuff etc, then I am going to try and get helga in some sort of order, not spic and span but tidy enough till I get to a site, then I will get her cleaned and sorted properly!! I'm looking foreward to a chill out,I want to buy a table and a couple of chairs etc( incase I have company!). And I will put some serious effort into getting proper Internet etc!! (Motorhome wifi I think for a Hawai setup from uk). And I do for some reason really fancy a Chinese!! Lol. So as the man said King of the road tomorrow, or Wednesday? Speak soon, Ian. Xx.

drove past there the other day, the old fairground has gone and a new Taylor Wimpy site office has appeared :) quite a number of motorhomes still on the car park. Might change soon though if building is about to start :(

Been great reading all your posts,if you don't want to drive too far there is another Los Pinos site which we have stayed at a couple of times in Peniscola.Here,40.379266, 0.388442 ,it's got a laundry room,restaurant,wifi and decent showers.The town has a massive castle made famous in the movie El Cid.

Nice one big tree! I have decided I'm not going to rush so I will go to that site in pepsicola !!! I fancy having a good look at that castle, I seen the film lots and it would be great to have a look round, bonus on the washing machines and showers ( although a steam cleaner for me might be better! ) and then I can move further down coast at a nice slow pace!! Cheers.
 
The N340 will take you down the coast without you having to use the AP7 toll road until before Valencia where it becomes free,after Valencia it becomes the N332,also if your going to Denia don't miss Calpe just a bit further on.It has an impressive rock on the front called the Penon 'y Ifach.There are 2 good aires and a campsite there,our preference is Mediteranneo Camperstop here,38.651439, 0.070107.

Have a good journey, best idea not to rush if you have time stop over at Valencia it's well worth a visit @Momo lives there I think I'm sure she could give you a couple of pointers, we absolutely loved it and the bus fare is only a euro or so from the camp sights around Valencia. Wherever you end up enjoy chilling for a bit you deserve it, and keep your adventures coming thank you for sharing your dream.

A few ex pats about so possible potential for work if ya feel the need also a campsite just of the seafront. I will add google map link you will see a restaurant called Scallops realy nice place (cheap) by a meal ya leave with free bottle of wine and a voucher for a free breaky . look at map and across road from there is a fairground in winter this is packed up and lots of people wild camp here. Just an idea for you to consider heres the map of location.

Been there many a time and where the fair ground goes there is a piece of waste ground just in front of the apartment block that is used as a car park i have stayed on it,next town up Moraira is also lovely

I find calpe too busy and over built now my inlaws had a flat in a block called appolo 5 at the top of the calle de nino where the fair ground bit it,there use to be a bull ring and go kart track aswell and a view to the rock now all you can see is high rise blocks and the salt flats that use to be there with flamingo's wondering about is all villas such a shame
 
When you drive along the N332 from Oliva to wards Denia you will see lots of attractive young ladies on each side of the road, they are not selling oranges so don't stop as it will get expensive.!

Roundabout Rosie and Layby Lil

Used to tell the kids they were selling melons - not too far from the truth!!!
 
Well I will drive past with interest ,,,,, but that's all !!!! God I hope I don't run out of diesel!!!! And I suppose wild camping in those laybyes is a no no !!!!
 
and when a few weeks later your balls grow to the size of melons and your crotch is burning, you will know why
 
Right just finished cleaning helga, 5 hrs and that was only the inside!! Still off tomorrow about ten to a site I was told about in pepsicola, I'm looking foreward to it,, I have six bags of washing!! Tomorrow I'm wearing a Carrefour bag and an old sack found in jo's shed, apparently it was an old olive pickers donkey saddle, but it fits a treat so I'm good !!! I will be a tourist tomorrow, how I'm looking foreward to it!!! Chat soon, Ian. Xx.
 
Why oh why is changing a drop down bed such a pain in the arse??? I smashed my head umpteen times up and down that bloody ladder!! Still just managed to get golf clubs ( not used here yet) and bike ( never even sat on it) attached to drop down bike rack, for the first time( they were inside) stuck the red and white board on too, God only knows if there gonna be there when I arrive at campsite?? I suppose I shouldn't worry till a car goes past me with a bike on the bonnet and a passenger with a 4 iron sticking out of his head !!!
