Ian and helga go south !!

Run for the sun Ian.(y)

Hey Ian. Im a builder myself and as soon as you look at a job and the "CUSTOMER" tells you how long the jobs going to take.
You think here we go!! "Do it yourself. "BYE"
Or tells you what the cheapest price is for the mat'ls & where to get them.

Hi Ian, Word soon gets round when you do work for someone at a reasonable rate....... as previously said, when people say that will only take a day, you know what the outcome will be. Doing a job you enjoy is like a holiday so, in my humble opinion finish Jo's and have a break. I'm sure you will pick up some work at a later date. Best wishes, Pat(y)

Yes your all right of course!! I will be having a holiday after this but Jo has asked me to do a few extra bits !! A lean to or basic shed, and would you believe a chicken coup!!!!! For whenever she decides to get chickens, Lolol. She's gonna miss me when I'm gone!! Lololol.

Don't want to spoil your plans, and don't know or want to know how ou are fixed for cash but if it was me, I wouldn't just dismiss the job out of hand, go off for a couple of weeks have a well earned rest, then contact jo about the sheds and stuff, and if you are at a loose end go back because Spring is coming and it's going to be nice weather wherever you are in Spain and then just take your time and relax at the same time as making a bob or two, and if the other woman still wants you so much the better but put your prices up to her.

I know anthea I said this morning I won't be here much longer babe , and she said. You haven't finished yet, I want a few bits doing!! Lololol. Bless her. Oh and the other ceiling needs doing just in insulation, of course then I need to do curtain poles, shelves, pictures, mirrors etc ! Customers, don't you just love em? Lolol. I think about Wednesday I hope to finish now !! Lol. I'm gonna need that beer and sunshine!! Lol. image.jpegThis is all the timber I have left now! I am going to have to use pallets for anything else! Haha image.jpeg finished mosquito netting and roof, she is going to have to use mossy curtains or material for the door spaces!! Not too bad though, came for 2 days volunteering and been here a month!! Lol. Place looks a lot better now, I'm quite chuffed I was able to help!! ( I know, self praise is no praise) !!!!! Lol.

. I know what your saying chaser but I want to finish all for joe while I'm here, God only knows where I'm gonna be in the future??? And I'm not doing the caravan for the other lady, I'm not qualified to start ripping and repairing damp caravans!! Besides she has a builder and carpenter working for her I'm sure they can volunteer their services!!! I'm off for some sun when I finally finish here!!

Glad to hear it.

We are looking for a joiner to mitre skirting board for us, and possibly fit it. It's a fiddly job as the skirting is fancy profiled. We have the skirting to go on to replace one bit that was damaged and had been hidden behind a book case. It must have been damaged and hidden when the house was built, we got a shock when we found it. Luckily there is enough skirting in the shed to replace the damaged length.

Ian you should be proud of all the work youve done! It looks fantastic! Seen the before and after photos on yours and Jos blogs! It was a rubble dump until you arrived! Enjoy the warm sun on your well earned holiday and don't burn your bits!!;):wine::drink: A true craftsmen working with all that crappy wood etc!!

Aaahhh puddle, I could do that for you. If only you were in sunny Spain !!! Hehe

Methinks Jo is "milking " your good nature a bit old son !!
I think you have MORE than done your good deed for this lass, nice as she may be !!!
Hard hearted bugger aren't I, but hey, she's got a livable finca now, which is a world away from what it was when you rocked up !!
Tidy up, have a farewell cuddle, get your "spondulex" in your pocket, pat yourself on the back and bugger off to the sea, sun and all the "good times" you can find !!!
You have done your bit mate...
All the best..
Mitch.

Re the wild camping south of Aguilas. We were there at the beginning of November. There are two bays, each of them had about twenty vans in them and, as previously been mentioned both the Policia Locale and the Guardia visited regularly but nothing was said. A baker called each morning when we were there.
No one took the mickey re hanging out washing etc and everything was lovely.
Since returning to the UK I've found a place to get water and dispose of Black and Grey water. Its a Car wash up on the main road not far away and is recorded in Park4night.com which is a site I'm quite liking.
The Coordinates for the Aire, (if thats what you want to call it) are; N37.3887 W1.61581
Finally can I thank you for your thread. Its been a joy to read. Power to your elbow, and any other part of your anatomy.

Ok so it's about 2,30. I have just had a lovely fryup!! Can't get on anymore today the wind is a nightmare, I thought I was back in England!! So I will just chill out the rest of the day now,,, And I will think about all the info on the wild camping site that I have heard about, it sounds like it could be lovely there?? I won't be going anywhere near it though till I get to a site with a dozen washing machines , cause I need all of them!! Lol. So have a nice afternoon I will chat later,, Ian xx

Not knowing Jo I am only able to respond to what you've posted and I think you have done over and above what you intended in the beginning. Go and have a break and rethink. Don't dare come to Totana camperstop after next Thursday and for the next three weeks because we are on our travels and would hate to miss you :(. We're not there but the camperstop is open and the owners would welcome you and there is a washing machine and you are only 30 minutes from Lorca and @gus-lopez if you still need to sort out your fridge.

Whatever you decide take some time out to enjoy yourself.

Not many sites about with that many washers, plus from experience they tend to be very busy in the mornings and early evening. best time seems to be 3am to find one empty

Funny you should say that rob, cause I do believe you can get them that run off solar! But that is in the future for her I'm sure!! I could do with one of them small ones for the mh though! I think I have seen them somewhere on this site, or a pic anyway? They may be ok for all me smalls etc!!! Lol.

Hi Ian
Well it's good to see the end of the job in sight. Enjoyed your thread and let's hope the next chapter of your adventure story is as successful.
Go find a washing machine, bar, beach sunshine and chill, you deserve it!

Wherever it is keep us posted about your escapades.

A washing machine for Helga , what you want is a bucket with a tight fitting lid place your washing in bucket with hot water and soap powder fit the the lid and take it for a drive and hey presto your washing is done, it does work but do make sure the lid don't come off or that it falls over in transit great for washing your smalls as you go

If you are really desperate a good quality bin liner tied up and filled with water and clothes washing liquid (then a rinse with the same produre) kept in the shower tray will work as well, how long will it take ? Depends on the roads and your driving ;)
