I have a solution for good Mobile Data (300G) whilst in Spain (then any zone 1 country)

Update
Camino has activated the card. We get a message in the router saying “insert PUK”. Have no idea what that is and even if I did you can’t enter any data into the router.

Any ideas anyome?

Many thanks
It should be printed on the sim card packaging/push out on the card, it may have a scratch off panel covering it

If you let us know which router you have we may be able to help, as has been said the PUK should be on the packaging, then you will need to connect phone or computer to the router wirelessly and then enter the ip address for the router and find where you enter the code.

Hi ChrisL and 15isto2 many thanks for getting back. Please see photos attached. Sure enough, thanks to you advice, the PUK code was on the packaging. Thing is how do we enter the code if the router doesn’t have the means?

The sims come with a “sim lock” activated.
I put mine into a phone first, then used the phone menus to disable the sim lock, before putting into the router.

in the olden days, the PUK used to be for unlocking the sim lock when you’d got it wrong too many times

Glad to hear you have it sorted, you might like to look at the link to check what you've done.

There is also an Huawei app that you can do it with from a computer, apple or Microsoft,

If you need to view or change anything to do with a SIM or router, once you are connected to the router (in this case a Huawei) on your device of choice (lap top, tablet etc.) type in the browser 192.168.1.1 that will open a page linked to the device you will need the password that comes with the device and you can then change or view any of the settings.

Just had my new Timico SIM delivered today, up and running ready for our trip early next month. Top service from Camino.

Thanks again to Harvey Carpmart for finding this gem.

Can the Tiekom SIM 300Gb plan be suspended for a few months and then reactivated for a couple and so on?

Or do you have to keep it going all the time?

You can suspend and use month by month with a nominal fee of €3 per month on the down months and just reactivate when needed.

I asked Camino what I needed to do to activate my sim in France. As usual she was excellent and below is her response if it helps anyone else. My only issue will be how to change the APN in my tplink M7350?

Msg from Camino

If you have a look at the manual you will need to connect to the settings interface and look for dial up and then you should be able to see where to enter the APN and user/password APN should be static if the choice is there. I think it's page 4.4.1.1 in the manual. Link to the manual below.

just received our two SIM cards from the helpful Camino at Tikecom, we now need to connect one of them to our Huawei mifi router. Can anyone please describe what you have to do in real simply instructions, we’ve been trying for the last two hours!!!! Any help would be most appreciated, off to France tomorrow and I believe you need to register in the uk prior to travelling outside UK. Thanks 😊

Mine was very simple. Put it into mobile phone and enter PIN number to ‘open’ the SIM card. Remove and put it into mi fi and connected to phone/iPad etc and that was it.

Sorry if that doesn’t work but that’s about my knowledge! 🤞
