I have a solution for good Mobile Data (300G) whilst in Spain (then any zone 1 country)

Hey folks. We've recently taken out the Tiekom 300gb sim thanks to this forum. We provided our Starling Euro account details. Tiekom invoiced our bank, which was rejected as Starling Euro does not allow invoicing. Do you pay with SEPA debit or using the portal under 'my bills' on the account page? The card payment portal won't load for us. TIA.
I had that problem, log in to your account and scroll to invoices there is an option to pay by card.
Worked for me twice.

How do you keep track of the data used 🤔

Each period of invoice they email me to say the invoice is due. Log into tiekom site then the private area where you scroll down to invoice, click on card and pay via online account. I used my Mastercard. No problems at all.
For keeping track of data I use the HUAWEI app which lets you see the data allowance and use. You can reset as and when you want.

So I would have to drive to spain to activate the SIM ( or have a pal post one to me )
No it can be activated anywhere in the Europe or Uk when you recieve it
Without trawling back through the post, I’d be interested in how others have paid.
I paid Revolut euro account giving iban

Just gave this a go on my phone (SIM is the my phone) and it loaded! Couldn't get this to work earlier tethering with my laptop. Did they waiver the 10 Euro fee for the returned invoice? A bit miffed about this since I wasn't aware they would invoice as they did mention DD when I first enquired.

Currently in the French Pyrenees and not getting any service, first time after 3 weeks. Going a few KM north tomorrow so I expect it’ll be good again.

I just went into my account and paid the invoice with my credit card. I have been using mine for 3 weeks and it has provided good speed in France and the UK.

Managed to do this also, but had to use the sim in my phone otherwise the payment portal would not load. Still not sure why they invoiced my bank when I filled a DD form with my Starling Euro account. I didn't receive any emails to log in and make a payment either. On the other hand, the coverage and speed in France so far is 10/10!

When I provided details for direct debit I was told it couldn’t be done that way and a monthly invoice would be issued for payment.

Good evening from Australia,

Soon I will be travelling to Portugal (and likely other EU countries) and this TIEKOM "300GB per month at full 4G/5G speed for 39.90 Euro" seems almost too good to be true. However having seen testimonials vouching for it's strong connectivity and coverage through EU countries, I am hopeful I have found my solution to data needs when traveling to Europe later this year.

My primary needs are:
- a strong signal for zoom meetings that last 1.5-2 hours 3 times daily
- fast enough speeds to watch videos on youtube
- fast enough speeds to have whatsapp calls with family daily
I assume from what I have read, the above requirements wont be an issue in "Zone 1 countries".

I would then ask, how would I go about purchasing, receiving and activating a "new TIEKOM data sim 300gb" from here in Australia.
All concrete and certain answers, will be sincerely appreciated and will go a long way to making my first trip to Europe signifcantly less difficult. Thank you to everyone who has read this and is willing to help.

Kind regards,
Gordon

It’s a great service Gordon, but nothing is guaranteed as it’s based on cellular coverage…

The kind of usage you need equates to a LOT of data usage. I could envisage 300G will not last you for very long…

Camino can advise on activation, but I would imagine you’ll need to activate in a Zone1 country and not Australia.

I had my tiekom sim activated on Saturday the 1St October and today received bill for €54.90 , I wasn’t expecting that, somewhere on this thread is said €40 a month.

The extra is perhaps the cost of supplying the SIM and postage to you

If you download the invoice it should detail the costs itemised.

Thanks for reply’s, yes just seen the invoice, it’s €15 delivery, I’d have given it a miss if I’d known.

I think it’s delivery plus cost for sims. They sent me three but it was only a fiver then. €15 is getting a bit much but I can’t fault the service/ signal we have had over last months.
