Greece 2022

Yeah i forgot you were in italy ...its expensive.

I paid €4 in greece for a pint and nearly collapsed

But that was in a marina

Last year we had the MH parked in a Boatyard/Marina with a very smart taverna and bar. We never paid anything like that price, nor did anyone else, because most of us have known George for 30 years.
George, who is not only running the taverna but is also an excellent chef, sat down with us and gave 'Foodie/cook' Basia some excellent tips which she has replicated and augmented back here.

Tam, where was marina that charged €4 - I will send a gunboat.

Very blunt-ended vessel, at least above the waterline....

....and very empty judging by the saloon shot.

EDIT I posted before I read your post with the prices.

Are they open decks so you can have the gas on?
We used gas to cook a Pizza last night ? No one told us we had to turn the gas off so I guess it must be what you class as an open deck although we have a roof above us. Just coming into port after a very smooth crossing. Lost anouther hour off Grenwhich time.

We're in greece right now and loving it. Friendly people and plenty of FLT opportunities and it's warming up nicely now. We arrived in Patras on 28th April and are working our way clockwise around the peloponnese, after a side trip into Athens. We've visited Poros and Hydra - both stunning. On the port at Porto Chelli last night... abit noisy but safe with lots of restaurants and bars and a view of the yachts and Spetses.

We are now in our first FLT spot after arriving in Greece. A very good crossing and gaining anouther hour against Grenwich. Fuel prices around thr port around 1.90 and I expect it to be cheaper as we move further away. Our first stop is a 35 minute drive to a tiny little bay that has a little fishing village with a little estuary leading out into the bay. A few restaurants an ATM and a bunch of friendly locals who have warmly welcomed us. A few motorhomes scattered amongst the trees and where we have chosen is clear and at the end of a long parking bay in a good location. As I type a Chez Motorhome has moved in fairly close to me and I'm thinking this is how it's going to be when there are loads and loads of space. Anyway, the pictures say it all.

Although this is our first day in Greece, I would say we have this year timed it to perfection. The weather is climbing each day and in the mid 20's and most places will be easy to access with little restriction on FLT stopovers. For certain as we move forward more and more Motorhomes will be arriving.

Found anouther Funster, Dennis @easyrider further round the Bay who has been out here since April and like us enjoying the good weather we now have. He said plod had been around and no action taken but there is a restriction on a bottom section which now has new barriers errected to prevent access. I suspect this will be bypassed in the weeks to come when the masses turn up. I'm a tad burnt this afternoon.

Good morning from Ammoudia Beach. We have now been joined by Martin & Sue who crossed over last night and one other UK motorhome has parked up near us from Manchester. A couple of boats have anchored in the bay and it looks like it's going to be anouther fine day. We will stay here for one/rwo more nights then move on.

Looks lovely. May wave at you today when we pass on our bikes as we are heading towards Parga.
Great to meet up with you today and thanks for making the detour to visit us. Keep safe.
We are decided to make this our last night here as both keen to get onto the Peloponnese.
Morning coffee in the shade, I also get free drinking water from next door. The people are certainly friendly.
