One of our favourite last winter, go to the end on non ehu ones and much better.

That’s right where we are now, €13 a night services and showers/toilets, I’ve been here a few times before and last year around the same time… never used/seen the shower before but we are tonight…

After me interview I've headed to almerimar, lots of new signs here again stating no camping for caravans motorhomes etc BUT they don't state no parking for motorhomes unlike a few I saw at roquetas etc so I'm hoping the original law still applies and as long as I'm only parked it should be fine to stay here. There are 5/6 other motorhomes here a few of which look like they spent last night . Time will tell. The carpark is otherwise empty with not a single car in it.

I like almerimar it's a nice wee town but the official aire always looks rammed


Very windy today I had a strong sideways wind on the motorway on the drive down and doc really feels it.

Depending if I can stay or not I'll stay one or 2 nights before I head on to malaga/torremolinos

Just a suggestion, but in Toremolinos type
“Garden des Incas” into your phone and go and visit. It was built by a man for his woman, it is beautiful and entrance is free.
Fountain & statues etc.

On the opposite side of the marina near all the bars. A good walk from the lighthouse. Lots of motorhomers used bikes it's that far!

Had a videocall interview this morning for a warden position, I think it went well and it looks a nice site for the mutts and me , he said he had 2 others to interview I was the first so that might mean I was his first choice from my cv or the exact opposite which knows. He did say he'd be back in touch at the end of the week so we will see.

I've not had much response from others I applied too. Quite a few were closing dates end of feb/ March so perhaps thats the reason . There aren't many for single wardens unfortunately most are for couples.

Tam I’m not sure where or when you’re looking for a warden job, Kings Green community site in Port William always advertises at the start of the year for wardens, 1 warden would be sufficient as small site and small toilet block, they advertise on their Facebook page so might be worth following if you think it would suit.

Just got a message from a friend who has just arrived in deepest Greece, he only said he'd finished his temporary job the other day, hadn't even realised he'd crossed the channel. What was the name of that long beach with all the big German overlanders and plenty of space? I think he'd like it there.

As been said, on the opposite point a fair walk only 2-3 brisk minutes but their ok dated but ok toilets and 3 showers in the men’s but the most important thing is on tap hot running water…

You should be alright where you are Tam. As long as there are no Germans, Spanish, French, or Dutch taking the p#ss with tables chairs and washing out. A great view IMHO and free.

There's about 8 vans here now spending the night , not looked at Nationalities but no other brits. But also no sign of any camping behaviour which is good.

These packed out nice & warm Spanish resorts are all very well... 🏝🏖 but down in Bundoran one of our lovely holiday resorts theres plenty of parking..... 🌨❄

Good luck with the job Tam we are home for Christmas now. The people we are working for have asked us to stay for the summer but we have other things going on. I did think about you but they do need a couple as its full on in the summer. Sorry I couldn't get you in there . Keep at it Tam

They're sat outside now they've finished unpacking.

And now an Italian truck conversion has parked next to them and he's also in the process of setting up camp.


The police are never around when you want them to be , I'd take great pleasure watching this pair being fined

Problem is they'd likely just move all the vans despite the 8 that were here in proper parking bays and not camping doing nothing wrong.

That's why these folk annoy me, everyone knows I'm an flt who loves a free parkup but there are places better suited if you want to put laundry etc outside. And there's a beach , grassy areas and benches not 20 metres from where they've parked that they could go sit on . But nah they've gotta be sat outside the van with all their shit on display to say look at me look at me to passers by.
