Had a videocall interview this morning for a warden position, I think it went well and it looks a nice site for the mutts and me , he said he had 2 others to interview I was the first so that might mean I was his first choice from my cv or the exact opposite which knows. He did say he'd be back in touch at the end of the week so we will see.

I've not had much response from others I applied too. Quite a few were closing dates end of feb/ March so perhaps thats the reason . There aren't many for single wardens unfortunately most are for couples.

After me interview I've headed to almerimar, lots of new signs here again stating no camping for caravans motorhomes etc BUT they don't state no parking for motorhomes unlike a few I saw at roquetas etc so I'm hoping the original law still applies and as long as I'm only parked it should be fine to stay here. There are 5/6 other motorhomes here a few of which look like they spent last night . Time will tell. The carpark is otherwise empty with not a single car in it.

I like almerimar it's a nice wee town but the official aire always looks rammed


Very windy today I had a strong sideways wind on the motorway on the drive down and doc really feels it.

Depending if I can stay or not I'll stay one or 2 nights before I head on to malaga/torremolinos

We absolutely love Almerimar and usually stay on the Harbour masters office aire if we can get on. A friend bought an apartment there in 2003 and we stayed for a month very early 2004 waiting for our house build plans to be passed.

Very envious Tam. if you like red wine go round to the Ankara bar at the other side of the port nearer to that other no view aire you mentioned, english owned and the only bar on the port serving The Guvnor red wine we I really really like

But I've a better view and it's quieter on the carpark I'm on

The only benefit I can see of the aire is the ability to put a chair outside . But I have grass , benches and a beach outside my van lol
