Bit of bad luck that my crown/Bridge that fell out in France and I've since glued it back in several times has fallen out yet again and the bit of old tooth it was originally cemented to has now crumbled and fell out with it so that's now buggered and won't stay in now. Not even sure if a dentist will be able to save it I think I'd need a post fitted or something. My teeth are a bloody mess just now.. . So I want to try seeing an English speaking dentist to see if I can get a few fillings done and if anything can be done with this bridge as I've now a big unsightly gap at the front 😒

Where are you this time Tam? We like the spot right by the boat yard as it's got the bit of decking next to it and a bit of beach which the dogs love playing on especially when they've been cleaning the long thin 'leaves/fronds' that have come in so they've got a 'mountain' to run around on!

You can see us in this photo in the middle of the MHs on the right.

Yes that's the spot I normally go to , but there's 5 German vans there spaced out with all their shit outside just begging to be moved on so I'm at the other spot I know here. Between 2 houses that are empty in winter.

I know where you mean and have seen that spot myself but fortunately we've always been okay at the other one, we love it there - are you going to 'The Grand Mundo' for a face-stuff? :tounge:

You've been ripped off royally, a filling at our dentist including appointment, injection and drilling was £46

Was yours a private one?

blimey! €90 for appointment, injection and filling in Los Alcazares.....dentists ey?
 
Minxy Northernraider recognise that spot, we cycled there a few times from Bolnuevo campsite. Was interesting watching the wilders behaviour, about 50/50 as regards respecting the area, and quite a few different nationalities in each camp.
 
I'm at the dentist in mazarron now , though I'd just come in instead of phoning . I'm waiting to be seen now as she said she can have a look now . It's very quiet so maybe I'll get some work done today . Who knows I will update later


The only downside is there is a couple waiting too and they are full of the cold .. I can see me having the cold in a few days time

That's why I try to stay away from the herd .

The French van that was here last night, had a generator running on the beach from 20.30 till 2300. Fortunately far enough from me I couldn't hear it. This morning he was ferrying bottles of water back n forth from the water fountain in the next street , he was also very noisy but thankfully he has left now so I have that spot to myself . The other spot now had 6 vans all parked nose to tail. Bikes chained to lamp posts , dogs outside on long leads that makes getting along the pavement quite difficult.

I try to be quite discrete when parked in this type of spot.

OK so the dentist has had a look , I need root canal done and a post inserted to refix my crown, she says its all possible but will take at least an hour , so she is now seeing the other person who had an appointment and I think she's doing me after , also a couple of fillings in the teeth next to it which I knew about.

My teeth are in a dreadful state. My own dentist was trying to save them as long as possible before I need dentures.. I don't think I'll get many more years before I have to give in and get dentures but will try and avoid as long as I can.

So hopefully this goes well today. You couldn't walk off the street in to any dentist in the UK and be seen same day never mind have a crown refitted etc .

Hopefully not too sore on the wallet , but it needs done as I have been getting more sensitivity with my teeth the last month or so and I'd rather avoid full blown toothache if I can. If she sorts this bit out today I might see if she can fit me in again in a few days time to sort out a few other fillings as I do need a few.

Between travelling 6 months of the year and my dentist always moving practices I've not had any work done in about 3 years.


She's cleaned out my crown though so I'm glad that can be reused .

Is it normal practice to park in front of peoples houses at coastal resorts.

This wee dentist is running around ragged , she's just here herself no receptionist no dental nurse etc . So she's doing everything herself including answering the phone lol. Gotta admire that as again in the UK you'd never get that.

Happens all the time. But most of these are empty in winter , the 2 I'm parked between are unoccupied at present. Not sure about the big house near marina .

But that's why parking is allowed but camping behaviour isn't. It's just a shame the D, NL, F. badges don't bleeding listen to that and ruin it for everyone else.

yes but she is also bank rolling 100% revenue by not having to pay staff

I needed the same done last winter in Benidorm Paul. I just called in on the off chance of making an appointment, but was seen there and then. 😲 In less than an hour I was all done and €75 lighter, which was less than half what my UK dentist charged, but her work didn't even last 3 x months, whereas the Spanish filling is still going strong. 👍
