Its an Indian built Royal Enfield single that's why, just looks vintage been making them in India since the 1950,s initially for the Indian Army probably about 4 or 5 years old at the most
I know nothing about bikes but I’ve noticed a few shops selling new Royal Enfield’s on this Indian trip.

All white for me, sorry to see the new damage. Ding the car, well it happens, but ding the van and I’m devastated.

That's a bit of a bummer, I hope it's not damaged that rear joint.
Doesn't seem to be , nothing visible , it did have tree marks along it but I've polished them off .. just a crease . Probably not too noticeable to others but I can see it. It's typical

The Moroccan boys will sort that no bother Tam

Well I can’t see it at all. I expected to see what Duncan had done when he caught a low branch on the corner of our Dethleffs, ripped off the high orange light. You’ve polished it it shines!

If Lenny pops in ask him is this a lot from an inverter charging to an e scooterView attachment 986899
10 Amps from your battery is about 130 Watts.

If they are lithium, they should be able to sustain 100 Amps, or about 1300 Watts.

So no problem at all.

How about getting it sprayed all white, stand back and admire or then decide to have the blue/grey(other colours are available)done while its in the Morrocon spray shop and the prep work has already been done, only needs another tin of paint. Sorry to hear about the tree damage but better on the way down than on the way back after the spray job.

Thank you
Yes 1 x 150ah lithium, its currently in a shed so no solar input but once on the road it will have solar going in whilst charging the scooter so should be fine 🙂

What sort of money would a complete respray be in Morroco.

It's a straightforward job for a proper bodyshop, but they do need the proper paint scanning and mixing technology. I'd leave it until you get back to the UK.

Why the week delay?
When we had a 10am one cancelled they put us on the 11pm same day & I blagged a cabin for 15 quid.
Hubby wants to go earlyish so he can do a few hours driving once we hit Dieppe, if we go on the 11.00 am crossings it'll be too late so we in effect lose a day, even worse if we go 11.00 pm. We're maxing our holiday as much as we can as our home insurance only allows 60 days away (no occupation by us) so that works out at a max of 62 days including travelling down to/up from Newhaven. Also the weather in France and Spain for the next weeks is pretty dire so if we did go earlier in the week we'd just be wasting days anyway.

Bonus is that the crossing is 8.00 am rather than 7.00 am so I get a bit of a lie in! :giggle:

Another reason is that we were going to be driving down tomorrow afternoon but there's a Red weather warning not to travel - having driven in less severe conditions a few years ago and having to hide behind some low trees to save getting hit by horizontal high winds and blown over (not kidding!), and the fact that the Humber Bridge and Dartford crossings are likely to be closed, means it'd be chaos and a heck of a long longer trek.

I'm not sure anywhere could repair that dent and blow in the area without it being noticeable on 20 year old paint . I guess I'm either going to have to live with it ....or sell the van

N&B use powder coating for the main body panels. Can they be painted over?
The panels are actually pre coated as they are manufactured and yes they can be sprayed with good results.

Any excuse for you to sell a van.

You can’t going a lovely van for that little bit of damage Tam, it’s part and op seven of living in it and travelling extensively, as long as there’s no water ingress.
Those corner pillars are purely decorative so no problem with water ingress, our Flair had a similar mark from the original owner and we just lived with it, it’s quite easy to forget about it, possibly easier when someone else has done it rather than you.

Don't be daft! It suits you down to the ground, just get it filled and stick a decal over it - you wanted to change some of the lower ones on the MH anyway so that way you can have them all matching ... blue/grey depending on what the actual colour of the existing ones are! :giggle:

Look on the bright side, at least it wasn't bricked like ours was in Holland ...

I thought that was the idea to get it sprayed all the same colour, now it's looking like it's only bits of it
The body panels don't need painting, it's just the ancillary 'coloured' bits ... or it was.
