Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

So do you lol.

It originated from France. As I said yesterday View attachment 975652
I didn't say where it was made.

They have a factory in France but owned by LuK in Germany....
But still feckin produced in France, stocked in France and feckin sold in France. No matter how its dressed up it should be cheaper to buy it in France than it to be shipped around Europe and sold cheaper.

Email LuK and ask them to explain....

Might get a refund....

Product of France means its produced in France surely otherwise all that other French produce is questionable.
Not necessarily.
Labelling can be quite devious.
A Swiss watch can be Chinese movement, case, strap etc, as long as some 'assembly' is completed in Switzerland

No matter what else £200 isn't the end of the world in today's climate, maybe a couple of tanks of diesel, how much would it of cost on some of these other fancy motors we have now.

Well we arrived in a saumur around 1pm, I had pulled in to decathlon because the one I was In the other day didn't have my size in a pair of welly boot snow boot type things . My current wellies Hurt my feet so I wanted these lightweight shorter boots for walking the dogs in muddy places... unfortunately they also didn't have my size in stock .

So I had some lunch and then wanted to move along the river to the spot I planned to park at to visit the chateau and town ... it was literally 2km away and should take about 6 minutes , drove round corner and "route barree" ... so I have 2 satnavs running , one tries to take me through the town which was shorter route ... 2 metre high bridge.. so I follow the other one ..it takes me back on the main road back over the river off main road on other side and 16km down the river to the next bridge....and guess what, bridge has 3.5m height , but only 2 metre wide , so I brought the road to a standstill while the 2 cars up my arse had to reverse as did I to the roundabout and then the satnav took me a merry dance around narrow lanes and then announced I'd reached my destination 21km away from saumur.

It is a complete pain in the arse sometimes travelling on your own relying on a machine to get you out the shit , and the bloody French need to learn to give advance notice of low or narrow bridge's and fecking road closures .

So after a lot of arsing about and having to just ignore both satnavs where it won't let me go through 3.5t limits or no lorry zones I finally got to where I wanted to park at 15.30 ... having driven an extra 53km to get here and well over an hour .

Parking here isn't the best but I've finally got a spot on the river bank about 1.5 Mile from the town and chateau.

Too late to go in to town now though as it'll be dark by the time I got there. So just going to walk the dogs and I might just take the scooter in to town in the morning

Polarsteps doesnt give an exact route it just does straight lines but you get the idea of the ridiculous route the sat navs took me on.

I cant get on driving in france , i have this bother everytime im here regardless of what motorhome i have. If you dont use truck mode with dimensions it takes you tk stupidly low bridges or narrow lanes ... and if you do use truck mode there are so many truck restrictions in places that doesnt aplly to motorhomes .

Dont have this problem half as much in other countries.

It has some beautiful places but its just so bleeding stressful getting to them

Yeah it's all good now , my gut feeling when it first did it was the slave cylinder and that was confirmed by the videos Jock posted of other ivecos. The clutch itself felt absolutely fine ..just no pedal

All good now

Reminds me meeting a 'Route Barre' a couple of years ago - end of the day, tired, the destination would be a mile ahead, diversion wasn't an option - for me - drove round the signs passing some surprised workmen who were just pruning trees.....no problem :giggle:(y)

Satnav you say

Garmin Camper 770 or 895 which I have now Tam, its a beauty, ask WESTY66 about it, or his for that matter lol, his is sh!t BTW :ROFLMAO:, whereas mine took us straight to where we wanted to go. I'm not saying mine is perfect but its NEVER taken me down either where I can't fit or shouldn't be ;)(y)

Same with our Tom Tom Camper Go; have found it to be pretty reliable.

The Route Blocked feature is also good for finding your way around any Route Barre.

I was just going to ask if you had Google maps, it seems a strange route you have been on, Google would have said it was blocked and found another route that you could have looked at before going.

When you was here I thought you had a strange satnav when it didn't show you where Tesco was from here , straight run nothing narrow or low.

Tbf the French do give you a deviation.
Spain yesterday, left the aire , followed satnav , road blocked .
About 10 yards dug up for re-tarring . No options given . Actually had to dig out a map and work out an alternative route . Shockingly easy

As tam says it's a different thing on your own, but when we meet up with something like this , Julie has got the map on her knee and looking where we are going.

My Rosa just lies on the bed snoring
She doesn't do maps or anything really
