Bloody dogs

Crikey! I reckon the heat is getting the better of everyone😱

We don’t have a dog, we do love dogs tho’

It’s hearing all these stories that makes me feel good about wild camping and Aires etc, can’t remember the last time I heard a dog using these

Now, as for campsites, we have managed not to use one for the last 10 years and hope to keep it that way for ever👍

Border collie x something? idk how big is she?
Hey. Good call. Not quite right but best guess so far.

She is teeny

My dogs do not bark unnecessarily and being largish do not yap. It does tend to be small dogs that make a lot of noise, perhaps some sort of compensation.
I'm surprised anyone can go anywhere in rural Spain without hearing barking dogs I think some of them are tied up and left all day. Perhaps in time we get used to it rather like hearing birdsong in the morning but filtering it out the rest of the day.

Threads like this amaze me and take on a life of there own. I don’t mind dogs, PVC s etc. Live and let live. What I don’t like is the attitude of some on here not only in this thread but also in other threads who turn to sarcasm to get their point across. Always right even when they are wrong. Some even have a so called cult following. Not really why I joined this forum.

I too hate the turning to sarcasm, Always right even when they are wrong. Yet to find a so called cult, just interesting, informative travel and Moho articles from prolific posters for our enjoyment with many readers. I joined the forum for exactly that, and as a community with a common interest you'll always get varied opinions outside the scope of the interest. (Err..And within..AGM,FLB, Lithium lol).

Not all dogs are the same. Not all dog owners are the same either. I have a dog. He hardly ever barks, unless there’s a good reason for it. He is always on a short lead to heel around people. We would never take him out on a kids play area and he wouldn’t poo their anyway, he goes off the path into brambles to poop! We feed him raw food and it means his poops are tiny for his size and drier and so I can easily pick up every last bit. Across the road their 3 dogs are always barking/whining/howling. That is annoying, as is when some owners let their dog poo on the footpath and then don’t pick it up.
Exactly this! My two are raw fed too, and have tiny firm poos that don't leave a mess. My neighbours have a horrible yappy dog that growls and barks at me every time I put something in the bins at the end of the garden that backs onto their garden. I rarely hear them asking the dog to be quiet and they just ignore it

As a new member of this community I am saddened to hear such wide sweeping generalised comments. Not all dogs and dog owners are the same and it's wrong to judge responsible dog owners who train their dogs the same way as others. I most certainly wouldn't assume all old white men to be the same way...

I was hoping that the motorhome community would be friendly and welcoming, I hope I am not disappointed.

I very, very, very, rarely use campsites.

They tend to have undesirable things like dogs and children and slidey door vans and curtain twitchers and wrinkly old topless men using them... folks who don't appreciate Metallica, Rammstein or the gentle hum of an aromatic generator.

My home has wheels.

If I find conditions aren't suitable for my creature comforts and peace of mind, I move.

You won’t be. The community spirit is alive and well. The information flow is extraordinary. The knowledge is bottomless.

The banter is priceless. Enjoy👍👍

Where can I too get a two-stroke gennie? Mmmmmm.

If you want the whiff without the noise, then here is the perfect solution for you. (y) :ROFLMAO:

I hate dogs with a passion, I wouldn't hurt one and those who have them have a different view and are welcome to them. However when you see them lick their vitals and then proceed to lick their owners face or as I have seen in France a dog sitting on a ladies knee eating off the same plate along with other habits, I cringe! Dog's your welcome to them.

Everyone to their own Eh? We had dogs for over forty years and never caught any disease from them😊

You'll find that there are a lot of cults on this forum, most of them are very opinionated.

I don’t think how strongly felt opinions are, nor how they are expressed really matters other than it’s done in a civil and inoffensive way. As per rule one.

Healthy debate is good.

If like us with a PVC we want to close the door once in the evening so yes you will hear a woosh and a bang buy only once as we want to ensure it’s not multiple opening and closing.

I was thinking about your dilemma and was going to suggest earplugs but that may be unkind. If it was me I think my choices are either increase insulation (soundproofing) or maybe invest in a MoHo that provides better acoustic soundproofing as standard ;)
I've got a well insulated van it's the idiots who park 3 ft from me then start slamming there door at midnight & first thing in the morning I can't stand.

Perhaps PVC's should have a timed lock on the sliding door so it can't be opened between 8pm & 9am.
