Anyone still going away for New Year ?

Doesn't matter if it's heated or rude. The thread view count still goes up quicker than any other thread.

Heated yes... putting your point of view forwards yes...

But rude and name calling in my eyes is a no..(n)

Personally, I think the decision will be taken out of the OP’s hands tom.
I will be surprised if we will wont all be in Tier 4 or lockdown by tom night.
“We are in the eye of the storm” says the head of the NHS.
Stay calm and healthy everyone, its going to be a rocky road for a good few weeks.

Well.....

My sister recently turned my late mum's cottage into an AirB&B..........

First tenants needed to isolate as they were selling their PVC before returning to OZ on Christmas Eve - that didn't happen but they had left to move in with friends

Second tenants, mother and teenage son fed up with living in an hotel in between property move....

Christmas morning my sister asked the mum if she was cooking Christmas dinner...........

"Oh no" "I'm off to a Caribbean party with my new workmates"

..... where does she work?

Track and Trace !!

Puts Swifter's trip in a different light ?

So if one disagrees with a pov, one should just walk on by... even if logic or common sense suggests it's wrong.
A forum is a place of debate.
I disagree vehemently with stifling free speech.

One does have to be careful to dissect the post, not the poster...
Though sometimes its a fine line.

One person's rudeness is just blunt honesty to another.

Agreed that a forum should welcome debate (hymer are rubbish/thats not how you do electrics etc) however words like naive and trolling are aimed at the poster not the post and that crosses the 'fine line'.

Had an email from campsite . Check in reminder for tomorrow so looks like we can still go away 👍🏻.
Anyone else still got a booking somewhere ?
If I did, and it was not cancelled, I still would not go under these circumstances. Seems irresponsible particularly when there is so many comments about staying at home as the local communities are finding it difficult to cope. Let's use the part of our brain that relates to common sense and respect for others rather than selfishness and try and wriggle out of a social responsibility.

Anyone who has followed my posts on here will know I am acutely aware of COVID and it’s dangers.

However, if it’s legal and permitted by the current government I would also be away this week. We are in tier 3 so I can’t, but with adequate precautions I would if we were in tier 2 and the OP is perfectly entitled to do the same.

There have been a number of heated debates about the B word, as an avid remain supporter I am disappointed things didn’t go my way. You can’t however pick and choose what laws and will follow, the government chose to Brexit so I accept it with good grace. The Government make the Coronavirus regulations, so I accept them with good grace.

Every Medic, Nurse, NHS employee knew this was coming and shouted loudly.

Swifter, have a great break and keep yourselves safe. Remember, hands, face, space and post some pictures. :-)

We should have been in Cornwall now for 5 days even bought stab vest for us and the dogs as apparently it’s rough down there😂😂

Hopefully will get away in a few months.
And me , Cornwall and new year for many a year . But no , stay local , stay safe . I am going on the side of complete lock down announcement tomorrow . We done it before , we can do it again , get the r number down .

We are in Scotland so Tier 4. Our 7 day rate in South Ayrshire is about 120/100k. This is the first year we haven’t been to our house in Torridon. But I see on fb plenty of people are ignoring the rules.
Torridon , lovely ☺️

Not the end of the world if we cannot get away, giving the van a run out tomorrow to Hayling Island only 10 min drive, will give the dogs a good run along the beach for an hour or so then come back.

Really ? people accuse me of being a troll on here regularly . As I know it is nonsense It doesn't bother me.
Haha, well different people take insults in different ways, I personally see them as a compliment! I was just pointing out that you can't say "One does have to be careful to dissect the post, not the poster..." and then say they're naive or a troll

It’s not a real rink, we got suckered in last year and it was awful! 😂 Loads of friction and you couldn’t really skate.

It is an excellent site though if you have never been.
