Anyone still going away for New Year ?

You want to do something which technically might be legal but demonstrates a complete lack of understanding (to mention intelligence might flirt with Coventry), let alone a moral or social compass?
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Stay home.

I’m sure some of these threads are just a wind up.....
How is it a wind up ? I bet at least some other people are going away like us but very unlikely to admit it due some of the replies here .

Should get at least one night away then 👍🏻
I’ve read that gov guidelines are if your on site you can stay until your booking is over. That I was told when I asked someone on Facebook why they were still allowed to be on site. They had 4 days left at time of changes. How true I’m not sure.

Just to offer a bit of balance, we've been away in the MH since the 18th, other than speaking to wardens at a distance, we've not come in to contact with anyone else. We've followed the rules and had a nice break away. If its legal and you feel you're being safe then its up to you. People will stick to the rules or break them whether at home, in a MH, caravan etc etc.

Nice one . There is no way we can leave on the day we arrive as we like it have a few glasses of wine once we have checked in .
Thanks for the information 👍🏻

Most of the people posting is this thread probably go to the shops anyway . Way way more risky lol

Motorhome forum, he's in a tier where its permitted, whats the problem?
You really wouldn’t think we were on a Motorhome forum lately . Some of the replies have been down right rude . I asked if anyone will be going away for New Year’s Eve and had anything booked . It’s unlikely anyone would be comfortable admitting this now anyway .
I didn’t ask for personal attacks on my intelligence . I must presume ALL of the people who have had a go at me , never ever leave the house at all 🙄

We cancelled a couple of sites around now when one of them called us to say they were closing. That, plus the cold weather means we don’t want to go anywhere, but if we did we don’t see that we are adding to the threat assuming we take suitable precautions.

However, We do see why those who are so firmly fixed on staying at home feel the way they do.

Had an email from campsite . Check in reminder for tomorrow so looks like we can still go away 👍🏻.
Anyone else still got a booking somewhere ?
Are you going away? Be careful it's not permanent

I suspect that there are many, who consider themselves vulnerable, haven't.

There is a world of difference between an essential trip to the supermarket for food and a holiday jaunt.

If you can't see that... well ...

4 motorhomes came through the village today .....3 had got 4 adults in and not on seatbelts either? Where do they go? Bikes on the back and Christmas lights still on the cab roof!

Sorry..You should stay at home until further notice!

Kev

Who on earth would be thinking of going away when the likelihood of an even tighter lockdown on extreme short notice looms ever closer?
They can’t just kick you off the campsite the same day 👍🏻

First year in nine years at home for New Year! Only because the Welsh (static van) site is closed and I couldn't find anywhere for the van (with wheels) open and not full in the UK. Can't see what difference it makes if your not mixing with other people? We aren't mixing but are probably at closer quarters with neighbours now, than we would be in a field? Anyway each to there own. HAPPY NEW YEAR :xThumb::xThumb::xThumb:

AFAICS some of them seem to be competing for a trip to Coventry, especially dulvil
