If this thread carries on the way it is...
I can see a large "Funster" meet in Coventry looming...
(Snap) same time as me... AFAICS some of them seem to be competing for a trip to Coventry, especially dulvil
Common sense should also be applied. If people follow the rules and don't travel in from higher tiers it should be OK, the OP is not suggesting breaking the rules.
I did feel for you when I saw your daughter’s birthday celebrations. Our daughter was 30 this year so all our celebrations fell through as well. I reckon we will all be in Tier 3 or maybe even 4. I’m not one to fuss about health matters but this is scarey. In Poole here, not looking forward to tomorrow’s announcements. I haven’t seen much difference in road travel or footfall in the local shops.
Took me a while to work that one out.AFAICS
Exactly , as others have said there is no hope. The only ones being inconvenienced are those who haven't left the house for the last 10 months. Why do you think T2 areas went into T3, then T4?
The vast majority would have been abiding by the "rules".
Took me a while to work that one out.
Are you really that surprised Maurice?OK for a bit of constructive criticism to any thread... but some of the reply`s have been frighteningly uncalled for and below the belt...
No we are staying at home - am in Wigtownshire which according to the news has had a greatly increased number of COvid positives. We wouldnt bother going away anyway as a large part of any holiday for us is meeting up with people, nice meals at the pub and wandering round shops. You really wouldn’t think we were on a Motorhome forum lately . Some of the replies have been down right rude . I asked if anyone will be going away for New Year’s Eve and had anything booked . It’s unlikely anyone would be comfortable admitting this now anyway .
I didn’t ask for personal attacks on my intelligence . I must presume ALL of the people who have had a go at me , never ever leave the house at all
Again another accusation of being a troll .Are you really that surprised Maurice?
Given how Covid has affected so many...
Is the OP (newish member) naive or trolling?
They did with a large group of motorhomers at the start the first lockdown! We were allowed a few extra days as were full timers and had no where to go at that time (and possibly because I begged and cried)They can’t just kick you off the campsite the same day
IMHO, neither. He asked a valid question about an activity that is legal. This forum has debated going skiing for example and opinion has been divided. Is the OP (newish member) naive or trolling?
What does being a newish member have to do with it and what exactly is wrong with asking a motorhome based question on a motorhome forum? I see lots of things talked about motorhome related but mostly not that I disagree with. If I don't like it, I ignore it. I don't think its fair to say someone is naive/trolling just because their opinion differs from your ownAre you really that surprised Maurice?

Not an accusation, a question.another accusation of being a troll

That has been debated in other threads...He will be no more a threat to anyone else than if he stays at home and goes out to a restaurant for example. Maybe less of a risk?
He did however and by posting that on, the eve of possibly further restrictions, was bound to incite the comments he received. Unnecessary in the currrent climate. We all want to get back to normal but it’s going to take a while. Perhaps more thought for others who are trapped in higher tiersIMHO, neither. He wants to go motorhoming - legally.

And that's complaining about a debate getting heated
Does that include Scotland?FOR SALE
Brains. Apply via the brits who are indestructible.
Ok, no-one has to read or respond to his question. He did however and by posting that on, the eve of possibly further restrictions, was bound to incite the comments he received. Unnecessary in the currrent climate.
In your opinion maybe. Sorry but this tread has got toxic to anyone who dares enjoy life isolated in a motorhome. He did however and by posting that on, the eve of possibly further restrictions, was bound to incite the comments he received. Unnecessary in the currrent climate.
That is also trueOk, no-one has to read or respond to his question.
Doesn't matter if it's heated or rude. The thread view count still goes up quicker than any other thread. There is a difference between a heated debate and being downright rude..
