Hi, I am awaiting a new Adria PVC which should have been here last October but keeps on getting put back on a monthly basis. Now end of June and I don’t believe it will come then if I’m honest. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it finally arrived in 2023!

Trying to get any information of the true delay situation from the manufacturers, let alone information that you can trust to be correct and up to date, I am finding impossible. Nothing on the news for Europe but some in America Re shifts being closed at factories there from 2 to 1 a day, but that is about Stellantis car plants I believe.

The delays all appear to revolve around Stellantis production in Italy at their Sevel plant but still none the wiser as to specifically why. Saying the Pandemic repeatedly does not do it for me now.

I would just like to get some honest understanding of why the monthly delays continue and I think all Fiat based manufacturers are pretty much the same.

I wanted to start this Thread for comments from anyone who has got confirmed news or information, rather than rumours and speculation, although if my experiences are the same as others no one will be able to confidently add an update, but here goes 👍🏻

Regards in advance if anyone can add anything

Picked our 8 series Ducato up Thursday, spec as ordered, digital dash, keyless entry, electric hand brake and Auto.::bigsmile:(y)
Yes love everything about my series 8 except the auto locking!!!! Whatever you do keep your keys in your pocket and don't leave them in the van or they will get auto locked in. Happened once but fortunately at home and had the other set of keys in the house. Going to get the fob key blade, duplicate cut to keep in my pocket at all times and one in an accesible secret place so at least I can open the cab door to retrieve the keys from inside.

That’s a good idea, done the same thing for aT6 we had. Intrestingly a guy on eBay can cut them if you send him a photo. You might find the alarm goes off when you use the fob blade. Sorry if you already knew that.

Your right. I am prepared for that as it's a Vanbitz Growler so will include some earplugs as well!

While you wait for a reply, ours was ordered October 21 and already dealer oedered from May 21. Latest is maybe May this this but I've got no confidence in that. If I could et a new MAN or Sprinter I'd be doing a self build

We were close to buying a Weinsberg 600 MEG at the October show that a dealer said was due March/April as we’d been told ours was delayed from March towards the end of this year but decided to stick with the Rapido we’d originally ordered so 🤞 it’s not delayed further 🤔
Missing the van we sold in anticipation of the original March delivery …. ☹️ so now booked a cottage in Scotland for March.

Plenty there to go wrong then. ;)

Seriously ......sounds exciting and all set for Spring sunshine.
(Daffs are flowering in my garden and blue tits have been inspecting the nest boxes. Oh such joy!).
If keyless entry hope you’re getting good security

I dont have keyless entry on my new Ducato. Still have to push a button on the key pack to unlock. It is simply a keyless start. As long as the key pad is in your pocket you just push a start button. It's just more clever tech for no real advantage. It's not solving a problem but rather creating one, like the auto locking of your keys when left in the van.
Similarly like the replacment of a dipstick with an electronic display! Did anyone actually complain of having to use a dipstick? No. The geeks need to focus on more important issues to sort than dipsticks and keys. DPF's EGR's and airbag sensors would be a start!

My son had the same issue with his Chausson when he and his missus came back from a day out with the Toad.
Luckily he'd left a window unlocked..........

We ordered Jan 22, though it was a dealer pre order, and we were happy with their chosen spec, not sure when they actually ordered it.
We are going to the NEC this month, see if we can get a honest date of delivery on vehicle ordered over a year ago, UK Stallantis recently told me more or less, those manufacturers who order big orders for vehicles (probably get priority!!) .
Sh-t hous-s

And that will be Amazon, DPD, NHS, Post Office and their Euro equivalents not most motorhome manufacturers

Yep, you’re dead right. All those companies take standard vans without the nice things moho’s have that Stellantis just can’t get the required parts / chips for or even to work properly, so they just don’t build em, problem solved and eventual warranty costs down.

I have keyless entry and button start on my car along with electric dipstick
1st thing I did was buy a dipstick
Mind electric one seems accurate

Just told by a dealer the other day that some of their recent Ducato arrivals had reverted to the manual handbrake rather than the intended electric one ☹️

I also saw some of their latest arrivals had come with the Ford chassis. I must admit I didn’t like the look of the very big front end in comparison to the much sleeker new Ducato. They did say it looked worse on the PVC models but the chassis was good, if a little narrower.
Transit is a much nicer van to drive than the Fiat , the engine is smoother and quieter too .
But then I can’t stand the noise of any diesel engine to be honest but the Fiat really grates on my nerves 😂

Ordered our Swift Select (auto) at beginning of November 2021 and still waiting for delivery (haven't got a chassis number so cannot book planned trip abroad :-( ). Date keeps getting pushed back.

Best motorhome we had was a 2009 A class Rapido with a 3 litre V6 , engine so quiet, and a dream drive , worse days work I done was selling it.🥴

You will only know what they know at the time
We were told Burstner went away and thought about realistic dates based on their supply chain
Came back with December delivery
Then at the show last year it changed to February
Now it’s April 23

Dave - when did you order your Burstner? We have a 744 on order and just been told another delay to end of May 23 - we ordered in July 21.

Spec could play a very big part. If you check the ads in Autotrader there are 1 or 2 new specs landing with dealers but they seem to be 3850, 140 autos. There’s nothing at 4250, 160 auto or above. 4250 & above are Ambulance spec and these will take priority, plus Ambulance Trusts are not bothered about the niceties we have on our moho’s ie digital dash, ADAS etc, they like to keep it simple. Stellantis do not need the negative publicity of not supplying base vehicles to ambulance converters. These will take priority.

I get the imppression vans destined to be PVC's are built to a unique 'camper van' specification which is a bit different to the normal specs if you went and ordered a van from a UK dealer that is just a 'work van'
If you order with a 9sp auto and then add the 7" screen option this would eqate to a "Techno" spec, but lots seem to still have a manual handbrake (opposed to the electric version) and halogen headlights in lieu of the LED ones 😕

My Adria Twin 22 Ducato came with electric parking brake and wireless phone charging, ADAS safety systems, iPlay compatible 7” Uconnect but no sat nav included. Auto 9 speed box, smart alternator & B2B, spare wheel. Solar panel & 2 AGM leisure batteries. Some of them were choices I made in the spec.

What I didn’t get was LED running lights and the option of LED dashboard or headlights was never available.
