A photo of the day thread

My favourite Single Malt is The Maccallan, discovered many years back on a Blind Tasting trip to Edinburgh, for a business jolly Burns Night at The Hub. Of the 8 classics on offer, The Maccallan just stood out well above for me.
However, if someone was to gift me that 1964, 25year aged bottle, the way I am used to pouring them, only on special occasions, would work out at £1000 a glass:giggle:o_O

We've been at CMC Barnard Castle for last few days, site is less than half full, of 20 pitches by us only 4 taken including us.

Photos of Barnard Castle and High Force Falls.

At that price I don’t expect bottles to fly off the shelves. However, I’ve been in service stations in Scotland and seen £400+ bottles of whisky on sale alongside chocolate and crisps!

Would that label be genuine for a 1964 bottle, it's marked as 75cl and not in fluid ounces or whatever Imperial measure was in use then, 15 nips maybe ?

You’re right, £10 overnight, toilets now opened 24hrs. Looking forward to seeing these amazing structures illuminated at sunset.View attachment 789422

And, if you drive along the motorway alongside them in the evening you will be well rewarded.

This fella is doing a good job of keeping worshipers away from using the church in the village.
And the young one was enjoying the miserable weather before he fell asleep. This is the guy when awake never stops laughing and smiling. I have yet to hear him cry. He's a diamond. Zachary.
