Walk from Garlieston along the coast to Rigg Bay and back via Galloway House Gardens. What a beautiful place. The trees and other greenery are so big and obviously not all native to this country. Felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland. Then there were the cows lol. Braved it and kept walking along the path, not making eye contact with

Porthpean beach lovely and calm tonight. There is a WW2 RAF quadrant tower that looks out to sea over the beach. Sadly, there used to be a homeless man that lived in it down stairs. Some tight sods gated it so he couldn’t stay in it anymore. He was a pleasant chap. Upstairs is not very rain proof but it has great views.

! And if you didn’t know Merthyr was there, you wouldn’t know Merthyr was there. 😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Woke to this view this morning. Temperature went down to 1°C in Nelson overnight. The lowest fall of snow I've seen on the mountains in many years. Those are the top end of the NZ Southern Alps and the sea is Tasman Bay. You can also see the Boulder Bank in the foreground - a 13km natural spit.
