Last evening paddle to cool down,

A beautiful morning just begged for a run out on the motorbike. The Brecon Beacons are within easy reach.

Near the Storey Arms looking back towards Brecon.

Saw this at the Romanian border today, a 125cc scooter well loaded for the trip, with Czechia plate.

Parked up A75 just east of Creetown enjoying the view…..
The "posts" you can see sticking up out of the water to the left of your picture are the remains of the old salmon fishing "stake nets". There were quite a few of them all along the Solway coast at one time.
Classed as a "fixed engine fishing device" they were outlawed by the Environment Agency or more likely SEPA after pressure from conservation groups and angling clubs as they are on Scottish soil and were accused of being too effective, preventing a lot of salmon and sea trout from ascending the local rivers.
There are a few decent salmon rivers in that area like The Dee, The Fleet, The Bladnoch and of course The Cree.

I agree. Who needs photos of barren deserts with not a tree in sight when you can have lush green scenery with people enjoying the clean, blue lakes and rivers. :imoutahere:

I promise no more desert pictures:cry::cry::cry: And here's silly me thinking people might want to see a bit of variety:cool::cool:

.. and more variety.... A plant I got for my birthday.... thought it it would be long dead now as I am rubbish with houseplants. :)

Have cheated though. It's in my daughter's flat not my moho. I think it would have been knocked over by now.

I love it.
