we now have shares in Febreze

Walking on the beach yesterday and our Gina starts sniff the wind and tracks out to surf, at least 200 metres and then is busy sniffing something.
We call her back and thought it was strange she didn’t run back but steadily came back, then we found out why. She was bring a fish she’d found back.

Did it get away please? :(

Don’t panic Joy, it would have got away it was only being chased. (y)
They were quite persistent and tried to get it to move off but it was pretty good at evading them.
Barn Owl being Chased.jpg

They disappeared from view for about a minute and then the barn owl returned on its own.

Looks a bit crowded doesn’t it!

Certainly much better weather than we have here.
There is around 300 plus motorhomes here, the vast majority at the rear of our motorhome in a similar sized area as in the front of the motorhome. Now that the Almond festival has finished some will push on. Many including us will stay here for longer, especially with the weather now consistently in the high 20's and sunsets that are mind blowing. Very peacefull too now that the festival has finished.

Where are you? and what's the almond festival that you mentioned (have I been missing your travels anywhere?). It looks interesting (y)

Our pitch for tonight is at the Aire at Deltebre just where the River Ebre or Ebro flows into the Med at Tortosa forming a large area of fertile land where they grow allsorts including rice.
The scene may look familiar from @Lenny HB posting....

That's because we are parked right next to him and his wife!
Free Aire, no services, but they are available at the sister Aire abt 1 km away.
Lovely location next to the (I think) longest river in Spain.

Looks like a lovely place to visit. Just googled campsites and the Spinney caravan park seems popular and has good reviews.

Any good eating pub food restaurants near by?
Unfortunately I can only give you the score on pubs from 30 years ago, however, The Bush at Ovington was always a beautiful pub with great meals, but check the route in as this is more of a hamlet than a village. The Globe was always good for a pint. Just up the road at Medstead is the Castle of Comfort, a proper pub which never did food apart from bar snacks. Alresford has many cafes and has loads of archetypal charachter houses
If going to Alresford the Watercress line has a terminal there but the bridge is being repaired in Alton at the moment so guessing the train only goes as far as medstead (and nowhere near the pub) but next to the Windmill pub at Four Marks which was a bit of a spit and sawdust affair late 80s early 90s.
The watercress walk is a lovely walk and was taught how to tickle trout there by my dad.
On the right summery day it can only be described as Midsummer without the murders.
@Cliffdale Edit : Just checked, its still there and hasnt changed a bit. If the food is anything like it used to be it will be a corker. People used to travel miles to eat there. Big car park at the back. Big enough to take a motorhome (phone number on the website) You cant go wrong by ringing and asking !
