Another canal themed photo to keep up the trend. :) We ate lunch at the Brewery Inn a couple of miles from the Devizes C&CC site today. Very dog friendly. Because of a shortage of staff they aren't doing meals in the Beer Garden at the moment but no problems taking Charlie inside. He escaped his slip lead at one point unnoticed and wandered behind the bar! Probably just wanted to order his own lunch. :)

I took this photo this morning on Marsden Moor (Huddersfield/Manchester border). When we arrived at 5am the moor was on fire in a zig-zag of flames. All of the area to the right is burnt. we managed to extinguish it by beating it out. Very labour intensive. Hopefully not going back there tonight!

Clifton suspension bridge .Its a pound to cross it in your car , back in my youth it was a tad cheaper. Free to walk it though.
Laika the wonderdog didn't appear to be too impressed with it.View attachment 286308
We are in our 50th year of our wedding anniversary.

After our wedding in Leeds, we headed to Cornwall for our honeymoon. (That’s all we could afford). We booked a luxury hotel for our wedding night, en route, in Bristol.

I was driving, with my new bride navigating.

After going under the Clifton Suspension Bridge for the third time I checked her navigation. She was holding the map upside down.

I still don’t know if it was a deliberate delaying tactic. I don’t want to know!:(

After 50 years it hasn’t turned out too badly.:)

Firefighter with hose, great stream.
Some training was going on in the harbour this morning here in Bristol (yes but , no but) at the end of the stream a rainbow can be seen. Laika the wonderdog, wasn't interested in this, unlike everyone else .View attachment 286401
