Staying at Kellngheath in Norfolk, very nice site even though it’s huge. Guess it would be very different in school holidays though!
Quick trip on the local heritage railway yesterday to Sherringham.

Nice pictures, we used to spend weeks at Kelling Heath when the kids were young. It wasn't anything like as developed then but just as large. Blakeney is not far from KH I think you can still park a motorhome in the river front car park there. The boat trip out to the seals is worthwhile and Well's next to sea has a great beach....enjoy

Good evening, having a few problems uploading pictures tonight. The Internet in town seems worse than in the wilds. Been getting 4G up until now but it is 3G (allegedly) but feels worse than dial up.

Anyway, reduced content. Anduze as I suggested has rather more to it than I thought, and if I had been able to upload all I wished you would have seen for yourself, as I used to say to Fairy, never mind!

First picture was the main reason for my visit. A lovely German built tank engine.
image.jpeg

After watching the engine run around its train and depart for Saint Jean du Gard I wandered into town for a leisurely stroll (according to vivactive about 5.5 kilomètres).
I saw a lovely pair of 2CVs but the system will not let me upload them so you will just have to know that one was yellow and black the other pale blue. I want one!
Moving on I found a sort of up market flea market outside the "Mairie" and found something else I wanted but can't have or dare not ask the price (if you have to ask you can't afford it). I fell in love with the girl below.
image.jpeg

She may not even have been for sale, I could see no ticket and fortunately I was not approached by a vendor or I could have been many euros poorer.
Over the road from my "new love" la tour d'horloge had this interesting arrangement on the top. A coq and cloche, quite impressive, sadly I was there on the hour and the bell tolled for no one. The coq did not so much as crow.
image.jpeg

To use @FIDGET s words, I meandered around to the bridge over the Gardon. The rock appears to be sandstone which would originally have been settled in level beds but looking at the contortions in the layers they must have suffered incredible upheaval millions of years ago when this area was formed.
image.jpeg

Sadly I am unable to uplift all the pictures I wanted to but in due course I found myself in Le Parc des Cordeliers where I found this "ugly duckling" along with her/his mother and sybling.
image.jpeg

For a swan I was surprised how close the mother allowed me to get but I did not push my luck. Sadly (possibly happily for you) I am unable to post any more of the pictures.
Tomorrow I move on to Pont du Gard one of my favourite locations.

Thank you Clive :france:

Today I visited one of my favourite historic locations. The "Pont du Gard"
First is taken (though not in the order taken) Rive Gauche from the advertised viewpoint.

image.jpeg

The next is taken from Rive Droit facing south so back lit. The picture above was taken from behind the last of the arches here.

image.jpeg

The next shot is from Rive Droit facing North.

image.jpeg

The site houses a number of temporary exhibitions at present focusing on graffiti, not something I care for. Though this hand apparently dripping in paint and standing a good fifteen to twenty feet high was certainly interesting as were the fingers poking through the wall next to it!

image.jpeg

If you have not been I recommend it, it is only €8.50 for an adult and that includes the car parking. I parked in the shade under the trees away from everyone and before the kettle boiled there was another camper next to me!

Cheers Clive:france::france::france:

There's a viaduct just like that in tarragona Spain ...looks almost identical

Good evening from Grand Canyon du Verdon.

I spent last night at Goult, a charming hill top village which accepts camping cars in the car park. I got there sevenish and grabbed a space. No one else could get in last night, several tried to their disappointment but the car parks were choc a bloc and the restaurants packed.
Before leaving this morning for Bonnieux (Location of the film "A Good Year" a film I have suggested to others but I seem to be the only one that liked. Those that have viewed it don't exactly exude enthusiasm - still one man's meat ...), I took a stroll around. Very pleased I did. First shot is of Hecate resting in the corner of the car park just down from l'église.
image.jpeg

Should you be fortunate enough to stay here please note that the bells toll on the hour twice. They ring out once, wait two or three minutes then ring out the hour again. They ring out all night which is not a problem for me because once I am asleep the Russians could have invaded and the first I will know will be when I look out the window or am arrested!
My stroll took me up the hill passing the épicerie:
image.jpeg

then the fromagerie
image.jpeg

Just a little further along was a poster for some noxious liquid which I am not very good with. The use of VG does it justice (in my eyes).
image.jpeg

Walking steadily up the hill I came to the moulin Jérusalem and great panoramic shots of the Montagne Luberon.
image.jpeg

On the way up to it I passed this lovely sculpture.
image.jpeg

On the stroll back down I took in (amongst far more than you could take) the chateau tower.
image.jpeg

As you can imagine I took far more pictures than these. Next stop Bonnieux and a shot taken out the window while waiting for the traffic lights. The road to Cadenet is "fun".
image.jpeg

I carried on towards my night stop at Sainte Croix du Verdon stopping enroute at Saint Paul Lès Durance to visit the borne. It is well sign posted and free. No electric but everything else (I have a generator but we better not go there!).
The final two shots are where I am now.

Well done Poshbird Helen, I have cycled by there more than once. Sandwich is a great place. Years ago when I was young in my beat up Ford Escort you still paid the toll. Gone now, along with Pfizers!
