Yes it was closed yesterday and the day before, unless it just opens on an eveningOn the last photo of the pots there is a cracking restaurant called Tom and Nellies. They don’t take dogs inside unfortunately it looks as all the outside tables have been moved for winter.
In a sandwich? Which sauce?Deep fried Wensleydale cheese and black pudding
Check out the rope factory in Hawes. It’s p1ssin it down here in Bedale, up late today a couple of guinness and playing hangman, it’s surprising how the words get ruder as the night wears on
A steady get ready and then amble onto Hawes and bless we see somewhere else, no plans.

Made me laugh Paul. Have fun.We are in Bedale on a little CL short walk into town, I’m annoyed they’ve put the price up a quid, it’s now £6 a night.
The pheasant pies are beautiful from the butchers there. I’m not pheasant plucker BTW.
Not sure where to next, Leyburn, Masham, Hawes, Settle, Grassington, who knows.
I phoned a site up and the cost was £42 a night, I said “ No not a week, 1 night. Anyway enough of that moaning they have to make a living.
A fortnight off work, a few guinness, a nip of Port, Black Sheep, lovely walks, work phone not ringing. What more could you ask for.
Thank heavens we’re alive.

Never used google maps for navigation Paul, but black sheep is a fair old pint.Does anyone else use Google maps what a pile of crap, we’ve found on this trip and our April Scotland trip it tries repeatedly to take you down unclassified roads, single track, some not even suitable for a car.
It’s ok getting you around motorways and major routes but small CLs etc it’s absolutely rubbish. It wants to take totally unsuitable routes instead of nearby A or B roads etc to save 2 inches on a journey.
My verdict, rubbish. That’s my main for today now for a guinness and black sheep in the Station Inn.
Only if it’s kept tight Dteve, like any ale, I can vouch for this one thoughNever used google maps for navigation Paul, but black sheep is a fair old pint.
Spot on Paul, and only good for smaller vehicles. My verdict, rubbish.
Flipping stupid going on holiday in Yorkshire. It’s p1ssin it down here in Bedale, up late today a couple of guinness and playing hangman, it’s surprising how the words get ruder as the night wears on
That post was the correct grammar Steve when I wrote it, honest, it’s not the Black SheepOnly if it’s kept tight Dteve, like any ale, I can vouch for this one though
Yes it did sound a bit condescending my post didn’t it. There’s normally only a sheep sale on once a week they’ve got 2 extra ones on this week. How utterly disrespectful of the local farming comunity to fill the car parks , they should be ashamed of themselves, especially the auction site .
Hey the wind isn’t too bad up here at the foot of Whernside, I can still stand up outside the van, although a couple more of these Black Sheep and I won’t be able toFlipping stupid going on holiday in Yorkshire.
27° here in the Dordogne today.
No of course it’s not. That post was the correct grammar Steve when I wrote it, honest, it’s not the Black Sheep
Agree about Google maps, we used it in France in May this year, when our usual satnav threw a wobbly and it took us on some very unsuitable roads. I learnt to check the alternative routes, which were often more suitable for the motorhome, some of the Google shortcuts can barely be classified as a road.Does anyone else use Google maps what a pile of crap, we’ve found on this trip and our April Scotland trip it tries repeatedly to take you down unclassified roads, single track, some not even suitable for a car.
