What you should know about me!

when i was about 12 or 13 i had a navy blue knitted swimming costume that my mother made, was so terribly embarrassed when i came out of the swimming lesson and the weight of water it had sucked up made it sag down to my waist..
the boys poked fun and pulled my plaits for ages afterwards..:crying:

5Div in August or 5DS next?

No I'm getting too old to lug it and those fast lenses around, I wanted to keep the versatility but lose the size and weight. I'm now using an Olympus OMD E-M1. I'm shooting some Red Kites this morning with the amazing 2.8 40-150mm (80-300 equiv) The same outfit as shown in thepic below. The Canon Equivalent would weigh and cost many times more. Very pleased with the results so far. Oly pack so much into a small body and the lenses are rated by many to be second to none.

My first SLR was an Olympus om 10 with a standard 50mm lens.....I still think that some of my best pictures were taken with that camera.

My Canon 5D Mark lll camera is sold. This is the first time since I was 17 that I have not owned a Canon SLR Camera.

Canon AE1 A1 F1 T70 T90 D60 1D 5Dll 5Dlll
It must be a strange feeling not having a Canon. I'm thinking of buying a 5DIII but I've still got a slightly battered 1DIV and a 7D staring accusingly at me for not using them.
BTW if you see any photographic mojo lying around please send it to me as somehow I've lost mine.

In the early 70's I was sneaked into an Wales, Scotland rugby match at Cardiff Arms Park, at half time I was caught in a crush being trapped by my long maxi coat, I managed to get loose but to this day I still hate crowds and avoid if possible. Scotland lost, remember Barry John was playing.

I was blessed by Pope John Paul II in 1979.
